So, as many before me, I took the plunge and went AOC. It's good, but it's not great. It's severely lacking the crack-factor I'm used to from EQ2. No shinies, no master chests, no spell upgrades......

Ofcourse it doesn't last an hour. Who told you that? (If so, we'd have a permanent +25% heal crit, wouldn't we, if the the recast is an hour as well.) It's 10 minutes.
