Simple don't fire it off right when you loose agro. Use a lesser taunt or maybe a melee skill and a taunt then fire off rescue. Course I could be totally wrong seems to work better for me that way. Generally have seen a 80% success rate using rescue in this fashion.

So you are just using it as a quick cast extra shot of normal taunt? That's nice enough and all, but the bug is still there. Increasing threat position has no discernable effect.

Example of when I have used rescue:1) I was tanking some 54x4 or other2) About halfway through he got about 6 melee hits, 2 rippos, and some crits in a row. All said and done he did like 12k damage in 6 seconds and I splatted. 3) A zerker picked up aggro and kept it busy why my healer CRezed me4) My healer healed me to full, and two wizard pumped my mana back to half.5) I point at the mob, do a round of taunts, rescue, round of taunts, and the mob is mine.6) I tank it the rest of the way.Without rescue, it would have been VERY hard to get aggro back after I died midraid.

![]() Sorta... I am going to go out on a limb and describe how I think it works I could be totally wrong mind you. Taunts increase hate by certian number which will help you stay at the #1 spot Rescue increases your threat position by 1... meaning if I slip to number 3 on the mobs list when I use Rescue I am only going to go up to number 2 on the list. So To make it effective I have to get my self up to number 2 on threat position by using tuant and a melee skill then use rescue to get to #1 on threat list. Ziggy's Threat List: 1. Joeblow(cleric) hate 100k 2. Johnapple(wizard) hate 90k 3. Jimmyjoe (tank) hate 85k 4. ronda (bard) 80k Taunt increases my total hate count So if im Jimmyjoe my hate is 85k so to slide into the #2 spot on threat LIST i need to increase my hate by 5001.. So say supress is 4500 hate crush is 545 towards hate then I just slid into #2 spot on the threat list with 90,045. Now I fire off rescue and it automatically puts my hate at 100,001 and moves me instantly to #1 spot on Threat list. Again I could be totally wrong. EDIT: because my spelling is horrible Message Edited by Baindragon on 03-16-2005 01:27 PM |

![]() Bain I agree with you 100% that is how it should work. Unfortunatly, it doesnt do that. Try it sometime in a duo group. Let the other person build up some agro, then hit rescue. Odds are nothing will happen. You are in the number 2 aggro spot. You should get bumped up to number 1, automatically gaining aggro every time if there is only one other person in the group. The bonus taunt is nice, and may be that last little bit you need to get ziggy off Joehealer, but it is nothing special, nothing that another shot of any taunt couldn't do. For the length of the reusue timer, it should be more effective. Compare to other oh-shiitte buttons:
and so forth. A once-in-a-great-while instant top-of-the-hate-list ability is not unreasonable when compared to comperable abilities. The portion of the ability that increases threat position does not function. No one is saying the ability does nothing at all, and it does have some limited use in its current state, but it is most definately bugged. Message Edited by Oakwood on 03-16-2005 03:51 PM

As I mentioned in my post, "Up to 30'th". Even you say yourself we dont get any new Shout type taunt till 44th. That is an awful long time to wait for something this important.

![]() Just have a skill to add which is semi broken. Return to Battle - adept 1 - This skill is suppose to add a str buff when its timer expires. There is NO str buff applied when it does fall. Test it, its true.

![]() Add to the bugs on the list: Level 30 training skill Briteblade's Command is and upgrade to Call of Command (+defense) with an added bonus of increasing stamina. The defense portion of this buff is missing and is only giving a stamina buff. Furthermore the sta boost does not stack with the sta from Iron Will. ![]() |
