Screwed? No we aren't, what we are continuing to do is fall back further behind other T1 dpsers. We aren't even T1 anymore. So we are now really T2 dps, no group/raid buffs, and every time they do something to the class it ends up being bad for us. Screwed? no, becoming useless in a raid, yes. Why have a Ranger when you can have an additional Warlock or Wizard in their place and get a lot more at of that raid spot? Back to the closet mine goes, not even going to argue and fight with SoE over it this time. Lost that argument years ago, won't win this one either. No use even fighting the battle and being banned multiple times again, I'll just move on to a different class.

Why you say...? Rangers auto attack was beating our mages....like JUST AUTO ATTACK in beta. was beating warlocks and wizards who play at a high level.. Id be more concerned about getting rangers auto attack and Assassin hemotoxin under control lol. Trust me predators will have their spots.. I mean it was enough to make some mages rage out of Beta...and mages id consider to be pretty good at the class....Were just getting rick rolled on the parse lol.. granted with knowledge of the fights could parses go up for mages.. yes.. but not to predator levels. thats for sure...Im sure they'll make fixes... its just shocking we're this close to the release and things are this unbalanced.. but hey.. the squeaky wheel gets the oil! example: focused casting Smile

Rangers are beating everyone on the parse right now. If you don't see this either you're not playing your ranger correctly or you're not gearing him correctly.

BTW: just throwing this out there... I have a new sig!

Passive dps is totes fine when it's holding folks back... and totes not fine when it's lolsy trolling the parse. I have this correct, right?

I mean, it's obvi a problem... just like it's a problem on live. Wink

You should make a comic with my ranger doing auto attacks, nezette.

I know... I can't get to them until tomorrow afternoon... unless I get to afk auto again tonight (which I would gladly do without complaint because Gninjafriend allowed me to troll our mages by requesting their debuffs! The <3 is real, friends.)

Ok, I'll hold off judgement until I get into the expansion as released then decide.

As it is things need to be balanced and shifted around, but rangers aren't in danger of becoming useless/obsolete.

If mages are parsing like they are right now, then buffing up CAs and leaving passives as is might be the best choice. From the looks of it mages are still gonna wreck on parses because the amount of Potency/AbMod/CritBonus they get from all this gear is just increasing their parse substantially while they still do about 1.5-2.0 mil dps on their Auto-Wand

You have my guarantee that if any of our devs say trololol in real life, bad things will happen.

"Do you even raid bro?"
me: "Not since TSO. /sadpanda"

That was hilarious though. We're all like "This fight is so Nexona. OMG we have to dps so slowly." Gninja spawns as Nexona. Mob says "wtf?" and kills us all.

Frankly, any time one has the opportunity to test w/ Gninja... it is just always amazing and downright fun. Guy is putting out some pretty great content, and is very responsive to feedback and suggestions.

Fixed that for you!

Because... idk about you, but listening to Darkonx telling us that we were doing the fight as intended... templar hammer dps is too strong... Maergoth adding "This fight isn't very engaging...", Holgo running around chasing butterflies... Everyone saying "we must be missing something" while Darkonx is standing strong that we're good... Gninja lolsing in /shout with, "It's been 15 minutes and you're at 80%... pugs killed this in 7... You might be a bad... oh... oops, I deleted your bolster buff package..."

I'm fairly certain Nexona spawning and wiping the raid was simply just the icing on the cake!

The word "friend" has lost all meaning to me after this thread/these comics. Thank goodness beta ends soon.

Really? Hmmm... It lost all meaning to me ca. 2005 with Facebook... *shrug*

If it helps, "friend" actually refers to a friend or someone you could feasibly see yourself friends with... UNLESS paired with the word "mage," in which case the overwhelmingly negative connotation of "mage" trounces all over any goodness "friend" could bring to the table.

Also, if "friend" comes first, i.e. FriendNezette or Friendrat, it basically means you're Bffs. (I probably should revise Kat's to list him as Friendkat... truth be told!)
