AE attack, new kick, Taunt, or haste + taunt?Still trying to figure monks out. Haste + taunt seems like the best selection. Sanity check?

I got AE taunt, it doesn't stack with single taunt but I can spam it 10s recast when I got 2 wizards in my group. Probably doesn't even taunt level 40 stuff haha.

I chose Haste + Taunt at level 28 because I think It might actually see the light of day, I can usually keep aggro through damage alone and it should help some.

So the AE taunt is on the same timer as the single taunt? Is it on the same timer as Shout?

The haste onyl lasts for 6 seconds?  How long is the recast?

It's less than 6 seconds.  Costs 15 power.  You can keep the haste up constantly but it's a hassle.

I took the AE taunt and its on a different timer from the other AE taunts.. which does make it an "extra" skill!!

I wonder if we cna create a macro to keep it up perm.  like make a macro for that 1 command then just loop it?  Anyone know thew command or how to find the command?

The AE taunt is on the same timer as Taunt and Slap so when fighting encounters you can 'taunt' all enemies in the counter with Taunt every 8 seconds (not 10) and use Shout / Clap every 30~ seconds. This has made keeping >3 monster encounters MUCH easier for me to keep entertained. It's almost like a monk version of Hold The Line.

In EQ1 I was a macro addict.  I did extensive research on macro's in EQ2 and unless they changed something with the patch, there is no way to loop the macro.  If it was a long lasting haste without the hassle, it would probably be seen as unbalancing.  I'm sticking with the AE taunt myself for those fun multi-mob encounters! :smileywink:
 
*edit*  I'm not sure how well the new macro's work with the 3 lines they are supposed to have now (I'm stuck at work for a while).  BUT, patch notes say that they will use each line in order.  Soooo...you could do something like this:
1. /useability taunt-hast (whatever it's called)
2. /useability flying kick
3. /useability taunt-haste (whatever it's called.
 
this might do the trick so you have to use the button only half as often if it works like they say it should.

I chose the single taunt + haste.
 
It has a very fast refresh, not only can you keep the haste going, it is also good to use with HO-combos due to its speed! SMILEY

I took the AE taunt...and it rules. I never use taunt anymore, and only use Shout in emergencies....
