AE attack, new kick, Taunt, or haste + taunt?Still trying to figure monks out. Haste + taunt seems like the best selection. Sanity check?

<DIV>I got AE taunt, it doesn't stack with single taunt but I can spam it 10s recast when I got 2 wizards in my group. Probably doesn't even taunt level 40 stuff haha.</DIV>

Nt 01-07-2005 12:14 AM

<DIV>I chose Haste + Taunt at level 28 because I think It might actually see the light of day, I can usually keep aggro through damage alone and it should help some.</DIV>

Musashi- 01-07-2005 02:39 AM

So the AE taunt is on the same timer as the single taunt? Is it on the same timer as Shout?

Nt 01-07-2005 02:57 AM

<DIV>Just a guess but it should be on the same timer as shout.</DIV>

Nt 01-07-2005 03:02 AM

<DIV>It's less than 6 seconds.  Costs 15 power.  You can keep the haste up constantly but it's a hassle.</DIV>

Musashi- 01-07-2005 03:35 AM

I took the AE taunt and its on a different timer from the other AE taunts.. which does make it an "extra" skill!!

<DIV>Also has anyone tried the kick and how good is it?</DIV>

Mattim 01-07-2005 05:43 AM

The AE taunt is on the same timer as Taunt and Slap so when fighting encounters you can 'taunt' all enemies in the counter with Taunt every 8 seconds (not 10) and use Shout / Clap every 30~ seconds. This has made keeping >3 monster encounters MUCH easier for me to keep entertained. It's almost like a monk version of Hold The Line.

<DIV>haste + single target taunt has been awesome for soloing</DIV>

Larath 01-08-2005 12:40 AM

<DIV>I went with the single taunt + haste and am happy with my choice so far.</DIV>

Dr 01-09-2005 08:15 PM

<DIV>is taunt the only good training skill for lvl 10?</DIV>

Kwonryu_DragonFi 01-09-2005 08:49 PM

<DIV>I chose the single taunt + haste.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It has a very fast refresh, not only can you keep the haste going, it is also good to use with HO-combos due to its speed! <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

I took the AE taunt...and it rules. I never use taunt anymore, and only use Shout in emergencies....

Dr 01-10-2005 02:12 AM

<DIV>i picked the flying kick, well rather my brother picked the flying kick without my permission, will this screw me on later selections i will get as i progress to the next training part?</DIV>

Dr 01-10-2005 02:26 AM
