I'm interested in hearing from the uberest of the uber pallies on what they can solo.  How far into Sanctum can you get before it becomes impossible?

Wondering if re-rolling at this point might be the only option, or quitting altogether, given that re-rolling to the flavor of the day is an invitation for the nerf bat at about level 30.

Was in Sanctum LFG for about half an hour watching not-full group after group go by so I figured its like that huh and went to go pay Cazel a visit, given my record with him is about 25 losses and 0 wins.  Mind you, I didn't think I could beat him but thought I might be able to make it interesting with my 10 T7 adept 3s, the goosehead hat (hooloh's) + smurf suit (xegonite) except for the chitin gloves... didn't make it passed the first named in the zone... I managed to kill all the adds with Rantar and then died and figured I could take him by himself... of course, that whole process took so damned long I got spawned on the second time around... argh!  Not that it mattered I would've lost anyway as was running oop with his health still yellow.

In sanctum I can get to about the reavers by myself after about an hour of fighting but any kind of adds before that is a death for me, obviously.

So I'm wondering, is it worth it continuing on scrapping in the rat race for the best gear and the master spells?   Does it really make a difference for us?

Oh and yeah if I decide to quit you can have my stuff. SMILEY)

I haven't tried to solo in a while....but I was able to do Yellow ^^s in offsensive and a 2h when I was grinding, without much issue (early 60's when I was full T6 Fabled from raiding).Blue ^^^ heroics are fine, if they don't cast much....I will try tonight or tomorrow with using Divine Aura and see how that goes....my guess is I can do white ^^^ if I played smart enough, but it would take forever....and I would probably only win 50% of the time....but I am interested in seeing what I can do.

So it is the gear, huh?  Sounds like we've scaled to T7 where we were at the peak of T6... would really hate to be an armorer these days, huh?

Not sure how much of it is the gear.  I have all adp3 or better and legendary or better gear except for 2 pieces.  A lot of it involved the judicious use of invis and picking my fights.  The grouped mobs like the sents are much easier to solo than the reavers and such.

What is this "soloing" you speak of? :smileytongue:Hehe seriously though. I solo when I must, but it is by and large NOT a good option for paladins. If you prefer to play solo, I suggest you re-roll. You will be much happier that way. Heavy tanks such as paladins and guardians are not really good solo classes. Much like templars. If you want to solo you would be much happier with a conjuror, necro, monk, or some other class.ThundaarrUnrest

well i've gotten past the 66^^^ mobs deeper in sanctum, even with adds i manage fairly well, yet im not geared to the teeth-- really its just a measure of timing your spells, keeping a soluid ward and knowing your equipment (aka for procs etc).

I've always enjoyed soloing, but im always grping, so i havent really pushed myself as of yet...
