it wont let me post in the newbie forum anymore SMILEY so im putting this here.im lvl26 and have been using slash the entire time, im like 120/120 slash and 6/120 crush. if i now decided i wanted to go crush instead, what would be the best way to go about this? what actually increases crush? damage dealt? number of swings?is there an easy way to go about this or is it going to be tedious?any input appreciated.

Number of swings really. Find some grey mobs and start crushing away

You don't really need to go out of your way to spend time killing greys to raise the skill, it will raise fine on any mob (probably best to stick below orange-con, of course). Since a big chunk of your damage is going to come from spells and CAs anyway, it will only slow you down a little. I never had a problem switching between one or the other and catching up 50 points-worth in an evening when leveling (although starting out at 45/250 piercing was amusing).

Ouch. 6 crushing is pretty rough, but as advised, go find a low grey triple-up in Antonica (around 15-16th), a low damage weapon, then hit auto attack and go read a book. Come back, rinse, and repeat.

Your weapon skill will still affect how often you hit with melee Combat Arts.
