Level 40 Fluff - Squire issues

Recently attained 40 and scribed the "Summon Squire" spell. Got some laughs, but all in all I enjoyed the fluff. Very long reset timer for something that adds absolutely nothing to the mechanics of the game.

My issue with this fluff is 2 fold.

1. It despawns whenever you zone.

2. It has a 1200 second recast time.

Those two aspects of the fluff totally ruin the effect of a "fun" spell.

When they come around to tinkering with fluff spells in the distant or not so distant future, I would hope they decide to change how this fluff works.

They can keep it's functionality at zero but atleast change the despawn or 1200 recast time. Make it a 1 sec recast time so you can cycle through the squires till you get what you want or get rid of the fact it despawns when you zone. If I knew how this spell worked, I might have kept the 2+ gold I spent buying it from the vendor...

The only problem I have with the squire erally is just the timer with our self LoHs. I only use squire when I know my group won't die for sure... even then I'd rather have my self LoH up just in case.But yea, it's not a major problem. Maybe make it dance/tell jokes/switch to different weapons every now and then when all the major issues are fixed, but its good.

Uh, you saying that summon squire is on the same timer as Lay on Hands? If thats so, thats retarted.

Its on the same timer as Devout Sacrement and Penitent Sacrement... not LoH or Virtuous Touch. But yea, it is stupid.

They have random appearances. Mine have all been human, but I have only summoned it three times. Twice female, and once male.Here is what my first one looked like.

can a squire do anything at all, besides follow?I have a ranger that got his "fun eagle" at 20 and it does nothing but tell me it can't do that.

Follow, Stay, and Dismiss are the only commands that it will respond to.If it gets attacked or clipped by and AE it will draw it's weapon and stand there doing nothing.

yes currently its pretty useless spell to have but on the pet command bar there are options for guard and attack so mabey soe will add those later :p

Those are there for the classes that actually get "pets", not fluff.

Hey Dark I like your screen Shot .............. IN Fact. I want to know how you got your screen made up like that........... I see you got all your spells on the screen.........I want that .. And I see your tabs on your chat. I want mine like that too. Please show me how or is it an download.

Try right clicking on an interface item and looking at the context sensitive menu that pops up?For chat tabs, select Add chat tab. I recall that for extra hot button bars its something like: Add bar.

The only issue I have with the squire is the fact that it greys out our Penitent Essense self heal for EVER. They need to change the timer. Aside from that, it has other uses no one has talked about yet.. like being able to buff it with our shield blocking skill that ups our Shield Skills by 10.
