I've been looking around for a good monk DPS weapon.  I've come to the conclusion that usually slow weps are better because of the auto attacks not being missed etc.  I am trying to determine:if 2 slow DWS ( currently im going for Fists of bashing and the one from the crab) both 2.5s will be more dps than a 2hdr (Staff of flapping or maybe stonestaff of striking)or if there are any better DPS set ups...which is quite likely; what are they?I'm not really sure exactly how to determine this so if anyone who has hands on experience could share a little, i would be thankful.

If you arn't a raider but can put yourself to doing some quests, then go get the Soulspur from the end of the Infiltrating the Sanctum line, and the Katar of Four Winds from the claymore line in Palace of the Awakened.

Otherwise, go with Grizzlefazzle, even though the Dual Wield combo of the two weapons above is greater.

Although the Calamities dont have big top-end dmg, the primary one has a huge proc and the secondary has a very useful, raid-wide debuff to pierce, plus a another proc on it as well. I generally find that I get the best results from this combo. Problem is, they are hard to get both of them.

Yeah I'm pretty happy with the calamities combo, even though I know I'd do more DPS if I switched out the 57 DR one for a Fist of Pain/Bashing.... But not everyone has 40 platinum to spend to buy one... dirty greedy jerks...

I use the higher DR calamitie with the duel weild wurmslayer and do good dps with that setup. I have most all of the t7 fabled weapons except the claymore reward.   I really haven't tried switching up combos to see what's best though so I can't really say if another combo would be better than the current setup i'm using.-Kukujo 70 Monk of ConvictionKithicor

I currently don't use any weapons due to the STR AA line with the 96% double attack, and a 23% crit chance (int AA and MoA) my damage is way higher than it was with the weapons mentioned above.  Although I am considering changing up once I complete the Claymore and Wurmslayer, but that is a long way off in my situation.

/agree Vraksakin Claw Club is what I use when I really want to pump out dps.  Although to get max use out of it you need to have some good +dps buffs on.  It is kind of silly that a weapon this good drops off such a joke of a mob though

I'm partial to the Club too, since as monks we should always be at 100% haste, so the 4s delay isn't so bad.  As the previous posters have suggested, crane flock and a high dps mod makes for sick damage.  For mobs that are crush immune, I roll with the higher DR Calamity and the DW Wurmslayer.  For tanking I wield Marr's Fist and the lower DR Calamity for the avoidance and stats.  For soloing I sometimes use my hardened shell baton (or whatever the name is), though it doesn't seem to proc the heal enough to be worthwhile.

Just remember, though, if you're in a terrible group, your DPS is still going to blow.  I'm all masters with over half a dozen fabled weapons and all fabled gear, but some nights I feel like putting someone on auto-follow and going AFK because my group setup stinks.  So don't worry so much about getting a beefy weapon, but instead insist on getting the Coercer's DPS buff and a Dirge too SMILEY

This pretty much my set up:

Vraksakin for DPS, and high DR Calamitie+ Wurmy for thos crush immune dragons. Also like using wurmy for solo if theres a decent amount of draogs about (cough..farm...cough....SOS....cough). The rest of my weapons, Skewer, fists of pain, marrs, fist of bashing etc etc seem to rarely if ever get used at all these days since i got the club.

BTW 100% dps buff + Club + Crane flock doesnt neccesarily = suicide, just make sure tank has time for aggro and get ready to hit that tsunami followed by FD if required hehe
