![]() Between the two, which one would be more important to a Monk? I'm asking this because I noticed that equiping cloth shoulders the other day increased my Avoidance, after this I assumed that the lighter the armor the higher the Avoidance (I'm fairly new to the game) so I was thinking if Avoidance if a Monk's primary defense, wouldn't cloth armor be ideal? Or would it be better to just keep on Leather and have it more balanced between the two?

Our avoidance is high enough. Mitigation is much more important for us i think.

I'd be interested to see some parses of damage taken between a monk in rare light armour and rare very light armour. I wonder how much the extra avoidance would offset the loss of mitigation. I don't think it would be a viable option for any monk, but it would be interesting to see none the less.

![]() Avoidance: You chance to avoid attack from the front and Rear of you. You will still take damage from mobs behind you. Mitigation: Your Ability to absorb damage taken from the blow that comes through your avoidance.
In my eyes, Mitigation is best, If your fighting many enemies at a time. If only 1 or 2 mobs infront of you, go for the Avoidance. |

Mitigation is what counts. Our base avoidance just by simply being a monk is good enough. The increases to mitigation go much further than anything avoidance will do. If you need avoidance, put up your defensive stance. It takes a ton of agi to make a raise your avoidance by any appreciable amount.
