Can a level 50 Monk solo a green con Group Mob?

Is this at all possible? Even with 6 Master spells and 6 Adept 3s, could any of you level 50 ( or close) Monks ever solo a group mob ?

I can do it , and so can many other classes at level 50.

Do Monks get owned by group mobs?

Seriously, I was told by a level 50 Monk that even with 17 Masters and the very best gear and even Uber weapons, a Monk could never solo a group mob. I dont believe him so Im asking around. But here are other classes I know can solo group mobs at 50 :

-Conjurer

-Guardian

-Brigand

-Defiler

I have:...

seen a level 50 Monk soloing blue ^ ^ giants in EF and PF
heard about alevel 50 Monk soloing green ^ ^ named in EF and I think LS (the monk told me himself)
seen a level 50 Ranger being soloed by a grey ^ ^ sheep in EF (it was me, and it hurt)

I can at level 45 easily take green groups.. i can take low blue groups depending on mob type. I just 20 minutes ago solod the Fetid Rallosian Bouncer in the feerrott (green). I love my class, and we arent overpowered. Look to the other tank classes if you want to see overpowered! IMO, monks came in needing some boosters from the start to pull em into line wit the other tank classes. Now i think were getting em, and we arent disappointed. Its like EQ! most decent monks never whined about the monk nerf.. we just get on with it!

Edit - perhaps the person behind the steering wheel helps as well, =)

At 50 i can still solo green mobs, i could since day 1. But i dont see how its possiable for a monk to solo a ^^ blue mob. The only way monks are able to solo green^^ mobs are the fact that the mobs being green make it harder for them to hit us, and to add in our defelection skills we can go whole battle without getting hit. But with a blue^^ mobs they can still wail on us as if they were yellow^^

Yeah, very dependant on the mob itsself tho, and while i will happily take on a group of lowest blue at this time, i havent tried a blue up up for a while, last ones i could solo that were blue up up at the time were ferocious lashers in EL.

Either way Gage you said no player should be able to solo a Named OR a group mob , so sounds like Monks need some more Nerfing.

Gage said " all that matter is that the dev team has stated numerous times that solo'ing group mobs is not intended and not wanted, let alone named mobs. "

And people are saying that some Monks CAN solo Named mobs. Just because you personally cant do it doesnt mean another Monk cant.

Guys, this is the same genius who's been demanding that the devs immediately post a walkthrough of what strange black ore is used for because he can't figure it out for himself. I suppose he gave up that fight and took on a new one that attempts to get other classes nerfed.

I should be amazed at players like this, but I'm not. I just feel sorry for them now.

I can solo Undertow, but not Brood Mother. Too many adds and they dont stay on Pet. If they stayed on pet then probably could win. The reason I made this thread was because Gage hijacked one of my threads saying that I need nerfed because I can solo group Mobs. What he failed to mention is that Monks can do this too. And just because HE cant solo Undertow doesnt mean another Monk with better spells and better gear cannot .

CRO I can't solo broodmother anymore ;/ I've gotten her to the orange since patch, but that's about it.

I saw a lvl 50 trobadaur tank Undertow. The guys name was Faladin sp? and he is on Highkeep in the Genesis guild and he is uber stacked with his equipment and skills.

Thats right , it can be done with the right combination of Master spells, Adept 3s, Rare items and strategy. Even then its still an epic battle each and every time. I see nothing wrong this. If you do what it takes to get "uber stacked" and design an effective strategy to achieve victory, then you deserve to win. I am sure this is possible with each and every class, not just Conjurers or Troubadors. I saw a level 50 Mystic today soloing ^ ^ Blue Con Snow Leopards in EF, so obviously Mystics have the same potential as my class does.

Yes, I provided you a name before even, and now I learned about another one on my server too (guildy even) and he is very proud of it. All that while I myself still rub my behind from the mean lvl 43 grey ^ ^ con sheep biting me so hard, and I am jealous *POUTS*

edit: that soloing was green ^ ^ named (e.g. Undertow, Broodmommy and the named cougar in PF) and also blue ^ ^ regular mobs (giants in PF/EF) from seen to be done by a Monk - after the Agility nerf for the blue ^ ^ ones and after the Light Armor enhancement for the named.

pet classes and healer classes always have it easyer when soloing mobs!!

compairing other classes to them is compairing apples and peers - you cant balance a game so much that every class can solo every mob with teh same proficiency
