FEEDING FLAMES?

ok whats the deal with this, I've talked to a level 31 monk and he's never seen this happen, but its happened to me atleast a dozen times now, I'm in a fight and all of a sudden my whole body catches on fire and it looks like i'm howling, a effect icon pops up and its labeled "feeding flames" and says it allows me to do extra fire damage to my enemeies, how can I MAKE this happen when i want, it seems to be some kind of combo I'm useing but cant figure it out

Does anyone know?

and FYI i've had this happen to me when I take damage and when I'm not, and when I'm just group with 1 person or 5, no HO's involved

Well hmm.. there are 2 possibilities I can think of:

1) Someone cast a proc buff on you. I'm assuming you asked the person you were with with if they cast something on you, if not, is that a possiblity?

2) You chose the trait that gives you a proc. I think that is triggered though.

I have noticed this a couple times too while fighting in Varsoons. At first i thought it was a spell that the mob was casting on me cause it sure looked bad, but obviously it wasn't. The group makeup at the time was 27 guardian, 28 monk, 27 monk, 26 wizard, 28 warden, and 27 templar. Is it possibly a warden or wizard buff? Possibly a racial trait buff? Just some ideas cause i've seen it too.

Its called Touch of the Ignei or something along thos lines. It procs Feeding flames. Not sure what all it does but I am pretty sure one of the things it does is raises your strength a cple points when it procs Feeding Flames.Its a buff that comes from one of the casting classes.It last 12 hours and stays on you when you leave the group.

Yea I think it comes from conjurers when they have a fire pet.

exactly. This+weapon proc makes for some awesome bonus dps.
