I have a question for the monkly community.  Under what circumstances do you use Dragon Stance?  When I first got it I cast it, beautiful effect then proceeded to take out a gray 2 arrow mob to see what it would do.  Well after getting hit for 200+ a few times I decieded to FD and take a look at my stats.  It seemed that Dragon Stance lowered my AC by 300pts if I remember correctly.  I didnt see a "large" gain in any of my offensive stats although.

So when do you guys use it?  When you are DPS role or are some of you brave enough to use it when you are MT?

Don't use it while you're MT.  It's meant to be used while you're not tanking, allowing you to do additional damage.  I don't think there's a noticable skill increase with it.

I guess if you really wanted to use it while tanking, you could use face of the mountain to offset some of the AC loss.......

it can be if you use the right weapons.  if you pay close attention, dragon stance will raise your slashing and crushing up by 10.. but it also raises our fist skill up by 10 over the cap limit of our level.  so use fist weapon and it'll give you some more boost.  g'luck.

Damage is unnoticable, but I haven't bothered parsing it. It increases your offense skills and lets you hit mobs that are much higer than you. I whiff 90% on 38s without it, and I can hit 38s and 39s consistently with the extra offensive skills.

Thanks for the information guys.  I used it all last night and I did notice I was hitting more often against higher level mobs in ROV.

Yeah, it's really only useful for pushing your skill up high enough to break the 7 level cap. Pretty much the same thing as zephyr.

Just for your FYI. At least at lvl 28, it lowered my resistance to slashing, crushing, and piercing by 284, lowered my AC by 296 and increased my attack by 22 (if dual weilding). Like previous poster stated, best to use if NOT the MT =)

I think how it works though is your giving your ac and agil to the person you targeted when you cast it.  So if your not the main tank you cast it on him and your giving him your ac and agility and also increasing your attack.

Dragon Stance is a self only buff, and does not require a target.

Dragon Stance rocks for those occasions when you're not tanking. I have noticed significant increases in damage over time; no, I don't parse, but it's easy enough to tell the difference between Swooping Dragons for 120-130 and Swooping Dragons for 150-170. That damage adds up. No, it's not for soloing, but it's great in a group when you're just there for DPS.

Wouldn't sweeping crane potentially increase your dps, because with higher tranquility your attacks would do more damage? Or does tranquility not work that way.
