When I first logged into Beta server, in Freeport, I average 20-30 fps. When I zone to Tranquil Seas, my frame rate drops to 3-4fps on average. I have theory tested that, when I fly straight up, and look up at the sky, I am once again at 30 fps. When I look back at the land, still hovering in the air, looking straight down, my frames immediately drop to single digits again.
I have turned all my settings down to minimum, so much so, that it looks like an 8 bit sidescroller from the 80s with flipbook animation. I hope this doesn't translate to live servers. ![]() |

There a some graphic glitches in Tranquil/Phantom Sea in 2nd and 3rd instances (esp. the 3rd). Warping mobs, low fps, pets/mercs not following etc.
Whenever possible try to get yourself into the main instance. See https://forums.station.sony.com/eq2...ou-cant-harvest-or-mercs-mobs-flaking.552604/ Of course your issue may be different. ![]() |

it doesn't seem to matter if I am in Tranquil Sea 1 or 2. I've been working on the solo quest line for 3 days now, and every day nothing has changed FPS-wise. But I was curious if there was a major issue I was missing. I have turned down EVERYTHING to min and nothing has changed. Thanks for the info Flameweaver.

How does your system run in old world zones? what is your FPS there? What are your system specs?

it runs fine. I get 20-30 fps on my live server in all zones. I'm thinking it's because of the constant changes in beta, combined with the amount of people there. other zones on the beta server run fine. just not tranquil or phantom sea. as for computer specs, I am technologically illiterate, and have no idea where to find those.

The new Phantom and Tranquil seas zones are much tougher on your computer than any previous zones so they will have less performance.
But send me your DxDiag info (I'll tell you how in a sec) and I can take a look to see what we can do. To send/get your DxDiag info: 1) click the windows button in the lower left 2) Type DxDiag into the search 3) Double click the DxDiag.exe 4) This will open a window that will tell you all kinds of nifty stuff about your computer. Feel free to browse it if you would like. 5) Click the "Save All Infromation..." button 6) Save it anywhere you would like, and name it whatever you want but remember where to find it because you will need to open it. 7) open the text file you saved by double clicking it. Send me a PM here on the forums with a copy paste of what is inside and I will see what I can do. |

whatever the issue is, it's with tranquil and phantom seas specifically. I can run other zones (Freeport, vesspyr, Feerrott) all just fine. I can run Zavith'Loa and Bilgewater Falls alright too. they all run at 20-30 fps. but before I even finish loading TS and PS, I'm at 3-4 frames. My live server runs well too.
