![]() My guild will be attempting Darathar for the first time this week and I wanted to know which equipment setup would be better for tanking: heat resists or mitigation? My regular equipment is mostly crafted ebon with a few fableds but I have a full suit of Sootfoot Forged plate that I can switch to that has 360 heat resist per piece. Should I stick to my regular mitigation gear or go for the resists on the Sootfoot? Any advice is greatly apprieciated.

![]() Stick to your normal mitigation gear. You can put a Warden and/or a Wizard in your MT group to buff your Heat resist. With what you described you can get you resist to over 5k with just a Warden in the group. Add in a Wizard and your in the 6700 range. Thats more than sufficient to eat the AE. Darathar hits for a ton, so you want to have the best mitigation set up you can. We did him recently and he was hitting the MT for around 6k slashing damage.

Wear that ebon. Everyone besides MT should go with the fire ressist sootfoot, but, for the MT, its the barrage and such that will kill you, not the heat.

Potion's will help you to, theres a heat resist one that up's your resist like 400 and the mitigation one can up your mitigation 4%.
