What is a fair price to pay the Armorsmith to craft Ebon Armor? Ive got 5 pieces of Ebon but no clue how much it costs a Crafter for components or the rare recipie. Could cost him between 1 gold to 1 plat I have no clue. What's a fair price to tip a crafter for tier5 armor?

It only cost them a gold or two.. but ebon is their only real source of income. I would pay anywhere from 10-20 gp per item depending on what they asked.

1 gold? I thought it took them 3 or more tier5 subcomponents for the final product that'd be over 10g, how many subcomonents do they need?

You can ask an armorer ;p I don't think the guardian forum is the correct place to ask the cost to make a piece of ebon armor. Or just go ask some people their prices, see if it sounds reasonable.

Armorers on my server are charging 50g. I told em Id wait for the next group of armorers to hit lvl 49. (BP is 49 recipe Im pretty sure).I could see paying them 20-25g max, but not 50. that's just ridiculous. Each day you wait means more level 50 armorers and the competition will drop prices.Im all for paying tradeskillers for their time, but Im also trying to look out for my own pocketbook too...

Depending on how 'rare' an armorer on your server is helps determine the cost of the item.

Personally I couldn't see charging more than 30g for the combine.  Generally if I fail to get the desired quality I eat the cost of making it, and give them a 'sorry dude maybe next time it'll be better'.  I always make sure that people know especially with rares that non-pristines do happen.

And like it's already been stated, as your server gets more 49+ armorers, the price will drop.  OR you can always make friends with an armorer help them grind out that much needed xp, and quite possibly they'll hook you up in return.

level 37 Armorer/41 Alchy here... You might want to start sweet talking an armorer now... Bribes might help too...  Right now I charge 100% mark up over the cost of the rares that i sell to the market...  I will craft at cost for those that have helped me level by suppling subs and resources ... Ebon is the Endgame armor atm and rares are the only thing we make that turns a profit...

Then why do all the armoers charge 10-12g for a leg or chest piece of fulginate? I'm pretty sure there is profit there.

I'm currently looking to get my Cedar piece turned into a shield and as soon as I find Advanced Wodworker 44 I have a woodworker that will make it for me.

He does have a point tho.. fulg sells bad. Tons of ruby and ebon dropped armor around, many cases it beats fulg and is free. Not a HUGE market for crafted armor over t3.

Richest people on my server has to be the armor crafters. All plate wearers buy a full set of Fulg at 40 and then replace items as you get upgrades. There wasn't any hand me downs when I hit 40 so I paid the full price. I always try to work out trades when I can since I always give stuff away and have little coin.

That's crazy.

The going rate on my server is 5-6g per piece of feysteel.

That's a really complicated question to answer since markets change constantly and are different on each server. For reference, on Najena, crafters charge 30 - 50gp for combine. I personally think its a waste since your return on your investment is minimal. I would sell the ebons and any other rares you have and take advantage of the extremely high prices. Its a supply and demand issue. Infinite supply with only a limited demand, prices will drop considerably when more and more are havesting these rares. Also, I would imagine Soe will come out with 50+ content soon so expect new rares will be available. This will immediately make prices plummet. Not to mention Rare Bestiary drops, which I would hope improve, will drop Items equivalent or better than player made equipment.

Unless, you are doing it for the presitge or the 5 or so mobs that it "might" make a difference, I would take advantage of the profits.

Bah main tanks are not supposed to do it half-[FAAR-NERFED!]. If it costs 20pp to wear good gear, do it./sadly no one my server crafts t5 armor over 44 SMILEY It's sad. 4 ebons waiting for them.

Just like I said ealier about rare drops. Tier 5 rares are becoming more common due to the Raid mob drops. The price of an Ebon on Najena's server runs just around 80gp to 1pp. Ceder sells for 65gp. I remember when ebons sold for 4pp and were gone as fast as you put it in the broker. With the 4 ebons you had sitting in the bank doing nothing you could have made 16pp, and now could have bought a complete set of armor for 5pp and 1.5pp to be made. This leaves you 9.5pp to buy whatever you wanted. I know I got loot to burn now.

If being Half-[FAAR-NERFED!] means more money in my pocket, then Ill sit on the side that still works.

not yet up to the level to make this type of armor, but looking at the T2 armor i can see why armor costs so expensive.  First thing, the primary component takes 2 combines minimum, have to be pristine for good armor, takes a minimum of 2 subcomponents, oone of them usually have to have a minimum of 3 subcombines, the other 2 usually.  Then it takes more fuel that other stuff does to make.  Its alot of work. Especially getting paper if you don't want to deal with weaving and the such.  Patterns alone take paper and yarn to make.  just my 2 cents.  As far as I've seen armor is basiclly the most combines next to spells.
