I'm having a spot of trouble with reserving a room at the Bally's. I click the link, set the dates (25th to the 30th), and every time it tells me the group is invalid or expired when I click the room itself.

Anyone else having this issue?

Exactly where are you trying to book thru?  Ballys website?  Maybe give them a call directly?

I'm having the same problem. I wanted to reserve online too because I want the confirmation to be able to print out...

Try Vegas.com it is possable the Fan Faire block of rooms are sold out. Besides 9 times out of 10 getting a Package Price, Hotel+Flight+Shuttel is cheaper then go booking seperatly... and every time I have looked Vegas.com seems to have the best rate overall. If you plan on renting a car include it in your package as well... even if you have a club card, you can transfer the reservation over to your card once it is made(and it will still likly be cheaper). However, if all you are doing is Fan Faire, or haning in Vegas itself, I would recomend against getting a car.

I ended up calling this morning, and was able to reserve rooms at the SOE rate. Not sure why it wouldn't do it online...

Hmmm.  We've heard several complaints elsewhere about the site not working (although it's been sporadic).  We are looking into it with the hotel.  In the meantime, the special-rate rooms are NOT sold out, and we recommend calling the hotel directly to book your room if you are having trouble on the site.  They should be able to email you a confirmation if you want to have it printed out.

Thanks for your patience!

I just called and booked the room, try that. I was surprised they weren't fully booked.

I also had to call and book the room , use the number that is by the link soe gave you.  The regular ballys reservation line is not the same for some reason they told me to call that number.

Per Bally's, their registration system is not set up to work with Firefox.  SMILEY  So you'll have to use IE if you want to book on line, or call.
