50% discount for 10 or more from the same guild?

The way I understand the note about this is.....10 guild members sign up on line and at the end the of pre reg time..they all get 50% discounts off the 3 day fan faire tickets.

I am Pretty sure that you guys figure out that 10 members signed up, and we dont have to do this together on line or something.

I go and do my pre reg, another guidie does the same so on and so on..and once we have 10..the discount will kick in at the end.

but I have many guild members asking me tons of questions that I can't say " this is how its going to work"

they want to know if we have to do it as a group, together, at the same time or if there is some sort of guild set up we have to do had head of time for the fan faire part..

guys can you give me just a little bit more step by step process so I can go back and say " this is how it works...so don't worry".

my thoughts is that Reg is tied to our Soe accounts. which in turn is attached to our eq2.players.com account which shows what guild we are in and on what server for any given toon which is part of that account.

but looking for a... "Yes that is how it works" so I can go back to guild mates and tell them..the Horse said this...

You all just have to put the same guild name to get the discount, the discount is a reimbursement given after Fan Faire.

To clarify when in previous years when you register one of the fields you enter is your Guild Name, it is that field they use to deturmin discounts. You also imput your primary charactor name, and Primary game in.

They use all three pieces of info to create your FF Badge, while the In-Game Promo you get is deturmined by the game you select as your Primary.

Also if you don't happen to have a Main/Primary Charactor, or a current guild you can use those fields to Id yourself in a way more people will recognise.

For exsample I am Kela on more or less every SoE Board, and am not very well knowen on my server, so I put that as my Toon Name last year, as that is written in the biggest font, and used the guild name to say From the boards, I think... all have to find my badge to be sure.

How about the same server??? I had to transfer to AB server cause I couldn't raid nights PST due to work. I don't think anyone from my guild is going.

The discount is only if you are in the same guild, and it is reimbursed not deducted.

You just have to put the same guild name on the registration form.

They don't check against your live charactor guild name, or even your account(other then to give the In-Game SWAG), so if you could get ten people to register with "Give Me the Discount" as thier "guild" on the form you will get the refund... however "Give Me the Discount" will also be on your badge so...

Consitering to my knowage they are matching "Guild Names" that where signed up with to accual in game guilds, I would think it is just a matter of imputing all the walk-in data, then sorting the database by Guild Name to get an accual count... then I would think they would have to credit everyone back by hand. Sence Fan Faire was last weekend, so really no work got done(or atleast not by the people incharge of this kinda stuff), and this week is a shortened week...made shorter by having to recover from Fan Faire, I can see why it is not done yet... but one would hope they would start doing it by early next week.

Seems last year it only took a couple weeks to get the credit back.

Hehe, I didn't expect them to be done by now, was just hoping for an answer along the lines "by end of July or August" or such.

i havent heard anything and my guild had over 10. but from what i was told they were not to charge you untill the day registaion closed but i see that didnt happen.And since its its been a month since regastaion closed and 3 weeks after ff i would think that they would get going on this.
