Ok, you've got a shiny new Krono to sell, and want to do it on the broker.  You pop it in there, and adjust your price so it's the lowest visible.

590p (your price). 118p (commision to the broker), 708p (charge to customer).

Remember to:

  • Get a house! There are free ones!
  • Put a marketboard in the house
  • Use the market board to place the vending container in question in the house
  • Make sure your house is set to visitor access (should happen automatically)
  • Pay your rent!

If you do that, people can come by your house and buy the Krono for 590p.  If you don't, people have to pay 708p. And that's a difference that lots of folks will pass you over to the next guy for.  You get 590p regardless.

This public service announcement posted on behalf of people who might pay 500p+.  Won't pay 700p+. And sure won't blow 100p+ in broker fees regardless of the price they're willing to pay.

I hate this. I can't recall how many times that I've gone to a home and found that I'm locked out. I wish SOE would fix the broker so that it did not show somebody's address if their rent hasn't been paid.

I hope the new broker (in progress) will also let you see a sellers full address. Alot of the time you are left guessing because you can't read it all.

The broker used to do that. I found it useful for remotely checking to see if my rent had expired, since I really only use housing to hold my sales crates. I don't know when it was that they broke the broker.

And the address listing issue on the broker is really annoying. Honestly, what purpose does including the 'The..' in the address serve other than taking up the few character spaces that could be useful in telling you which eliminated village the character was moved from in the so-called city revamp. (I'm looking at you, Lion's Mane Inn.)

I used to do that as well, use the broker to "tell" me when I had to pay rent.  It has to do with multiple house ownership (at least from my experience) if one of your houses has it's rent paid, doesn't matter that the one you sell items from is not paid, it will show it's paid.

Again, it's just my experience.  I hate not being able to see on the broker if one of my houses needs rent paid.  That said, I've started to every two months... I go to each character and pay their rent.  Tedious? sure! but I hate so much going to someone's house and them not having their rent paid, I don't want others going throught he same thing with mine :p

It's not just a Krono issue.  It's been an issue for me for awhile now, especially since I do a lot of crafting and buy rares in quantity.  The price of harvestable rares has shot up, probably due to low population and harvesting ponies.  I recently tried to buy a colossal reactant (market price around 400 pp on Freeport), which showed up on the broker as available from someone's house, but proved not to be after I went through the trouble to swap toons that could visit the house.

So accurate broker information would be good for non-Krono purchases.

And players who let their rent expire should know how much it hurts them.  Although I doubt anyone that lax reads the forums.

Yah, I considered it a seperate and distinct subject.

A) Feedback to sony about a new feature, item, it's implementation and implications.

B) Me ranting into the void about people who don't set up their broker's right.

I agree. That's why I didn't lock/perma-redirect the thread, because I felt like it was a unique topic.  But since it does have Krono in the title, I wanted people to be aware that tips like the one you provided are helpful in the main feedback thread.

As for the broker comments, keep that feedback coming too!

I heard or read somewhere that there is a Broker overhaul in progress Dex. Any idea when we will see the improvements?
