Hello,

Last week I did a reformat on my pc and set everything back to factory condition. When I downloaded and installed EQ2 from the EQ2 website, when attempting to launch game I consistently get the error of Unable to init arial, you may have to restart, etc. I checked forums for others who may have had error, downloaded and installed the font pack that was linked, but still getting the same error.

I have made sure that I downloaded and installed the Windows Serice Pack 1 and everything else that I needed to bring me up to date after reformatting. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both the full EQ2 version in addition to trying out the streaming EQ2 version, but still the same error.

And of course, numerous restarts on pc.

I don't understand why this error is keeping me from starting game, as when I first bought this pc I never had these issues. Additionally, I have not installed any new version of Microsoft Office. Whatever Microsoft Office I have on this pc is what came with it, nothing new.. and it never prevented me from playing in the past. (I had read on previous posts that it may be a culprit.)

So... I really need some help on what I need to do next in order to get EQ2 up and running.

Thanks in advance!
