![]() When the Tenebrous Island first became available I bought one and it has taken me this long to finally finishing something I’d like to share. When I started out I was doing things manually and then I discovered Jesdyr’s wonderful EQ2 Layout Editor. I just know I should have scrapped everything and started again, instead I blended both techniques. I have a long way to go to use all the features but for now I’m delighted to be able to do this much. So… let me introduce you to Decim and her home on the Unrest Server. On the Leaderboards it is listed under massive homes Volcanic Hideaway. Please enjoy your visit Decim is a Dark Elf. Not your traditional Dark Elf because she heard tales of a mysterious person by the name of Drizzt Do’Urden. This different life path became an inspiration to Decim. Although trained in the mysteries of an Assassin, she chooses to fight for what is "just". Sure it means killing many people but Justice is her mainstay. As a result, her home reflect this lifestyle. She has learnt to appreciate the ways of the overland but true to her heritage, she chooses to make this home as a cave hybrid. When we first arrive at her Volcanic Hideaway this is the scene. Step up through the gap in the Druid Ring. ![]() There are many portals to other homes (few are complete as this is the beginning of my journey into houses). ![]() Moving forward we are given options to travel more swiftly to points of interest. For now though we will continue along the path. ![]() Turning to the left and continuing along the path we come to the water feature. ![]() Of course Quo has stayed to practice is fishing skills. ![]() Here is a quiet place to sit and contemplate the water sprites among the plants. ![]() Heading back down the path to the turn off, we take the path now leading straight ahead, but what is this? Guardians holding the terrifying beasts in captivity! ![]() Although this volcano is small it remains active as can be seen by the lava flows and pools. ![]() ![]() ![]() A view of the crater. ![]() Deep beneath the volcano, there has been extensive excavation and a comfortable home has been created. A place where Decim can relax and forget the rigours of her life. ![]() I shall leave it to you to explore the cave and home as well as the romantic vista. When in the kitchen, check out the cupboard doors - you might find something that tantalises your tastebuds - I can still add to them or change them without upsetting the leaderboard post thank goodness. So I intend sharing different ones as time goes by. If you are looking for the transportation portals - they are the glowy places on the ground. Finally, there is a snake who likes to roam the grounds and when I was taking photos I thought this one quite funny. Who says the animals don't interact! ![]() |

![]() Thank you for the kind words everyone. With the inspirational work I see here in the Norrathian Homeshow, I know I have a long way to go but your encouragement is a big boost. @ Nite - I did take photos to show of the rest of the place but then decided I'd best leave something for a surprise |
