![]() I've recently returned to EQ2 after a long hiatus. I've logged into my old toons and found nobody wants to group with a guy whose gear is 6 months out of date and 2 levels behind. I also feel like I'm behind the curve in how mechanics behave now. So I figured I'll make a new toon on a new server and enjoy that whats old is new again. My question becomes the various guilds I've joined promise lowbie grouping but mostly people login, do their thing and log out without so much as any interaction in guild chat. Now I'm not looking for a power level guild or looking to be twinked out. I've played this game enough to know how to advance my character, but doing it solo with a merc is boring. I really don't want to play 92 levels solo because I'll never make it to end game. I'll unsub out of boredom long before that. Ultimately, I want to get back into raiding. Nothing so hardcore as 5 days a week with 4 hour raid times, but a raid routine that isn't a second job. So, I suppose my question is do any guilds exist that actively involve low level players that aren't totally insulated from the top? If you are looking for a reasonably experienced player who greatly exceeds the minimal skill requirement to play this game successfully then please post your guild and server! |

![]() Truthfully, thats the same all servers. Now I am sure there are several guilds that welcome new or returning players. You need to make your own group or start questing and ask if any members have toons your level that would like to work on maybe an HQ or quest series. Looking up your mage, I see why groups are hard to find if you are trying to get groups in skyshrine or anywhere really as a level 90. Upgrade your gear! You shouldn't be wearing anything less than Thurgadin gear which costs so little, I am sure you can find a crafter to make the 6 pieces for 1 plat each. Thats 6 plat to make you a much better player. Also, you have to be 92 to get into UD and the raid content in SS also requires 92 to enter. So start getting those aa's!

![]() Actually, I signed in with my 2nd account to post for some reason. I moved all my high level toons to one account shortly before I left. I'm thinking the best way to get back into the game is to wait for a progression server, should it ever happen. Because the game is definitely getting long in the tooth and everyones PLed their Beastlords up to 92. I think I'll play until I can't take it anymore and hope I can find PUGs along the way. Thanks for your input, Kuulei! |

![]() Not sure if which server you play on, but I run access questline a lot for people needing it, with my warden. I also have a necro that I run around on when dps is called for. Both have finished the ss access but I love to help others, so if you're on Everfrost, look up Kuulei or Vostra

![]() The different servers are NOT alike for the lowbie experience. I haven't tried all of them but on the ones I've tried there are definate differences. So far Freeport is without a doubt my favorite for the lowbie experience. Miles ahead of some of the old servers, probably because it's got a high population which to a degree is younger then the other servers (it was the ONLY F2P server for a year and was established explicitly for that). The population on Freeport is high enough that, for example, Dungeon Finder sort of actually works if people have mercenaries and are willing to use them. I was in several DF groups this weekend for a level 20 something toon of mine. Unfortunately, for levels 26 through 30 there aren't a lot of choices so I was in Cove of Decay three times today. Got a little old. Hopefully there will be more level 30-40 dungeons. Anotnia Bayle might be worth considering as it's also got a high population. However, I only played on it a little so can't say much. It's nominally a roleplay server which might make a difference. Some people have said things aren't as open as on Freeport, but I never had any problem for the small amount of playing I did on it. As for guilds which actually do things together on a regular basis, that's my big gripe too. If you find a guild where they really DO things together and which isn't hard core please let us know. I'm looking for one too but so far not finding. A LOT of them will SAY they do stuff together, except it turns out they don't. Something else I was just noticing over the last few days is that there seem to be a lot more unguilded people then there used to be. It used to be you'd NEVER see someone who was unguilded unless the toon was no more then a few hours old. I was running around Qeynos today and saw tons of people with no guild tags. I don't know if that's a sad commentary on the state of guilds nowadays, or just has some innocent explanation I don't know. Anyway, I never saw as many people without guilds as lately. |

![]() You have level 90 toons? Here is what we all did: 1) Chronomentor to 802) Go to Chelsith and kill trash only, zone out, rinse, repeat for roughly 3 hours till level 92.3) Optional* - Go to WL and do the quests to get your first set of gear. If you had rygorr or better before leaving, this step can easily be skipped.4) Start PuGing. Watch the guild tags you pug with, when you see a comonality of tags to people you don't hate, app to that guild. Starting over isn't going to help you, it isn't going to teach you anything, and you're going to end up at the same point after leveling up on the new toon.

![]() Freeport definately is the most populated server and I see new folks in the newby zones daily. Generally if you visit the starter zones and do a /who you will get 30-50 on a weekday, server is top heavey with 2 skyshrine zones a night Antonia Bayle is medium size now it seems. While they have thinned out they seem to be a more close nit group. More server events since you have rpr's aswell. I noticed however they are suffering population at 1-20 and 80-92. I'll stand in Skyshrie woith the 3 other people for awhile before I decide to occupy myself with something else. Firevolt is a poor schme you willsee trying to form a ud group all day long for days on end. Seems to get a little better on the weekends Guilds? Best you can do ido a /who all guildname on your peek playtimes. This will shw you a list of the characters in that guild not marked anonymous, their level and where they are hunting at. Its definately helpful when seeking a guild. then join one and try it out for a bit. |
