What is it with decent 90 chest peices? I have Blood lords set except the chest on my SK, and world events just are not droping it. They always drop a multiple choice of gear thast is not a chest peice. There is literally no point in doing them as far as I can see. Maybe I'm doing it wrong.

They dont allow crafters to make a mastercrafter fabled 90 chest, or any decent chest. You cant buy one, or do a heroic quest to get one unless there is a quest I dont know about.

You cant solo/merc grind shards or anthing to trade in for one.

Gear avaibilty is bad in this game at lvl 90. None of my 3 90 toons have a decent chest peice. Eq2 please stop being miserly with the chest peices. My guild is not a raiding guild, but my toons still need a chest peice.

There is literly no point in witholding chest armor from my toons.

You can get BP's from the solo quest lines. You can get BP's from the DoV pt1 Public Quests. You can get fantastic BP's from a colossal reactant combines (player crafted). You can get BPs from Fortress Spire, and Temple of Rallos Zek (heroic)You can get BP's from Tower of Frozen Shadow (X2)You can get BPs from Temple of Rallos Zek (X4)I do not agree that gear availability is bad. There is plenty of it.

What solo quest line will give me a decent lvl 90 chest peice, and why have I seen no player crafter 90 chest pecice on broker? Please eleborate on these methods, I'm lost here.

The Othmir section of the Great Divide gives one. If memory serves, there is also a slightly improved BP, obtainable from the quests in Eastern Wastes. While they are not the most uber BPs ever, they are sufficient to carry you into the next stage of progression, expecially if you are being bolstered by a set of RyGorr armor. You are unlikely to see the BPs from reactants on the broker, because people sell usually the collossal reactant (component), which allows the buyer to choose what item they want to be crafted from it.

The Othmir section of the Great Divide gives a quest for a lvl 86 chest peice with 65 stam 65 strenth, its not 90 and dose not have min 100 stamina/strength like the blood lords plate I would not feel right about trying to raid if all my gear was not at least lvl 90.

I got a decent 90 BP from the Freeport Reborn quest lines.  Was able to upgrade it at merch if I recall right.

Dunno what Qeynos has.

aITEM -702273012 1621252870:Lucanic Chestguard of the Beast/a

Ok. terrible at linking.  Stats on the SK bp

+102 str   +103 sta10% Crit Bonus37.1% Ability Casting Speed29.4 Critical Mitigation3% Ability Reuse TimePestilential Rain

And oh.. I see Zam is still showing old stats.  grrr.  Crit Mit.

Anyway.. check the Freeport Upgrade vendor in the EFP tent to see it.  I cant recall if its a quest reward.. or if doing all the quests unlocks purchase.

And it is a solo quest series and you will get a pretty decent cloak as well.

Then strictly speaking for level 90 (not 92), I would suggest you run the level 90 heroic zones which drop BPs, Fortress Spire (Great Divide) and Temple of Rallos Zek (Kael) to name a couple. They are not difficult zones to complete, and will cater to your statistical aspirations.Edit:  Or alternatively, do the quests to get the BP Lasai referenced just above.  There is not a lack of BPs, it just seems you need to find out where to get them.

Lucanic Breastplate of the Knight.  You will do fighter archetype line.  The quest series is 3 parts, racial, archetype, and the main line.  Look up Freeport Reborn on Zam

Stats on Zam are outdated.  Would suggest looking at the BP on the Upgrade Merchant in the big tent, by Reforger.  He will only show one BP.. your class.  I hope its visable before you unlock purchase.

Stats on my scout version were in line with the Thur and Rygor pieces I had.

Arguably the best stats bar raid and certainly one of the easiest, is from the quests in WL from the Captain in the village of Alivan

I'm doing them but I dont like the freeport quests feels like I'm acting against Neriak, I like Neriak and the queen, infinitly more than freeport and the overlord. In fact I dont care for freeport anyway.

Im Freeport, and found the whole series to be labored and at times distasteful, contradictory dreck.  Really, nothing much to do with anything save some silly excuse to blow up the burbs.  They certainly didnt mind stomping earlier game lore into the mud.

Most of the time I felt I was acting against freeport, my own char and faction ranks, and each quest giver changed who I was betraying.  Very sour taste to all of it.

Without a spoiler.. the big reveal at the end was predictable and unimaginative.

I needed a BP.  I hope to find alternative BPs for my Chars that are now 82 and locked.  Im not wanting to ever repeat that horrificly poor excuse for a quest, scale break.  Had my Assistant given me a collossal reactant 4 days earlier.. I never would have done any of the FP quests.

I got through, got my stuff, and moved on.  Pretty forgettable content. Sorry I pointed you to it.

I found the slavery stuff distastful, seems much worse than what gos on in nerik. I almost feel like this quest is going to hurt my faction with my home city. Yet I get a cloak and chest peice. Maybe I'm not evil enough lorewise in this game. Nerik seems ok, freeport seems corrupt.

Edited because I should read the thread and see that the OP was already answered.

I do know what you mean though.    All the other armor pieces I got just by playing.   I had to actively research to find quests that gave the chestpiece.

If you have withered lands you might just want to do that quest for a 90 chestpiece.   I liked the stats on it more than the freeport one.

I have seen some mastercrafted fabled pieces on the broker, but not many; as Avirodar says, most people sell the reactant instead. The reactants drop occasionally from Exquisite Chests; I've got 2 from Great Divide, & they make very nice chest pieces. I just haven't gotten around to having mine made, because I'm not 90 yet.

The reactants, BTW, allow for a large assortment of items to be made. If you can't find anything else, look on the broker for reactants, examine them, check out the items that can be made, buy the highest level one you can afford, & get someone to make a breastplate with it.

It would be awesome, however, if there were a version of the Freeport & Qeynos quest lines in Neriak & Kelethin (at least) as well, for people like me & the OP who dislike Qeynos & Freeport.

Colossal Reactants on AB sell on the broker for between 300-400 plat.  Not an unattainable figure at all with a little work.

Around their necks is a questable chest piece at 90.  Colossal Reactants for 500p on broker are better.  Other than these 2, i completely agree chest pieces are a pain.  Before SkyShrine, it was miserable.

because I'm a lore hound, I feel the need to correct some misconception here. 1) Freeport has always been about betraying who you need to to further your own standing in the eyes of the Overlord. (a good example is the quest to befriend a dog and then turn around and kill it once it trusts you).  Neriak and Freeport do NOT like eachother. neriak has already betrayed Lucan's trust once. the quests in Freeport are about you working for certain leaders and doing what they ask you to do to make yourself a name that the Overlord will notice. you aren't supposed to care who you step on to achieve that goal.

Neriak is not ok. Slavery is rampant in Neriak. most of those servants you see? they are slaves. Neriak is also built very much on the premise 'over my dead body'. if you want to succeed in Neriak, you eliminate your rivals discretely. quests in neriak (particularly the teleporters) show this...though the teleporter line shows more extortion and forcing the other buisness to become puppets to the TS faction. Cristanos herself only has the power she does because she murdered her husband AND attempted to murder her son. (who barely escaped and now leads the thexians) oh and those consorts/courtisans you see? those are prostitutes. and are probably feeding information about who they sleep with to their rivals.

the entire Freeblood race is because the D'morte vampires in Neriak tortured and killed slaves until they 'created' the freeblood bloodline. lets not forget the Arasai are serial tortured Fae that are torutred to death, reborn, tortured again..etc until they 'became' Arasai. and that was Cristanos' orders. so they also kidnap/torture fae children.

Welcome to "not getting it".  Evil is not Chaos.  From my first writ ingame, I supported the Freeport Militia.  I worked for them when every writ cost me negative faction with the others.   I earned max rank with them 50 faction at a time.  I didn't care about the others.  THAT is my game heritage and history.

So.. why, in any manner, should I be killing Militia at the behest of some insignifigant Trader popinjay.  Why wasn't I able to just cut his traitorous throat and leave him to bleed out in the Coalition HQ as a warning?

The questline gave no options.  Instead of the Loyal, High ranking Militia member I have been for years, I became some little poptart pawn pushed around by some overdressed cockroach tradesman.

No thanks.  That isnt Evil.. that is just bad content.

Buy a colossal reactant off of the broker.  Have the chest piece crafted.  It's 90 mastercrafted fabled and roughly equivalent to Skyshrine HM heroic instance loot(mid 150's stat range), but not quite as good as the Dozekar set.

It's not as good as the rectant BP, but the named wyvern in contested Dracur Prime drops chest pieces in the mid 130's stat range.
