Harvesting Issues

Did SOE nerf the rare ore drop rates or am I missing some special piece of equipment.....I spent the AA's to get the rare harvest increase and I find myself only getting about 3 or 4 rares an hour....I have the gathering buff on and I have the cloak of the harvester....is there something else that I need to bump up this rare drop rate?

a) what's your skill at (including bonuses) and b) what Tier are you harvesting? The extra boost table is an unknown number of skill points above the max for the tier, and if I recall what Domino said she did, we probably can't hit it for T9 and T10. If it was even put in for T10.

Also remember that rares get more rare as you go up the Tiers. So in Tier 1 they drop like candy, but get up past Tier 6 and they start getting rare indeed.

Heard lots of people on the server talking about seemingly 'lowered' rare chances.

Since computer RNG are tied to the clock usually it may just be a cyclical thing.
