All of my characters will be serious crafters aside from the basic fighting skills. I am just wondering if it reduces your characters survivability by using AA points to max out tradeskill points or if there are enough AA points to cover fighting and crafting...

The best thing to do is to get a respec mirror made and have a "crafting/harvesting build" and "adventuring build" that you can swap between. That way you don't have to sacrifice aa points. There are a lot of things that aren't worth spending aa points on but you have to waste them on lame stuff to get to good endline skills. |

It also really depends on your class. My paladin is an off-tank for a casual raid force. He can't afford to use any AA points on tradeskills in his raid build so I've got a mirror with a seperate tradeskill build. My warden on the other hand can afford 40 AA points in tradeskills and still heal for a raid force. There is enough slack (and lame AA choices) in the warden lines to afford full time tradeskills. And the rest of my non-raiding toons can probably afford 40 AA for tradeskills even if it costs them a little in the adventuring side because...well they arn't raiding. A small loss of overall effectiveness isn't going to cost them a spot in a PUG or a small group of friends. |

You'll need to get someone to commission craft it for you. http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Mirror_of...ed_Achievements |

And just to add this in here, if you are lower in level, then there are plenty of aa to spare for tradeskill aa's even without worrying about a mirror. |

We'll have to agree to disagree here. At cap, I would always suggest having a seperate build for (using AA mirror) for tradeskill/harvesting and adventuring. There is a noticiable difference with 40 pts in your tradeskill page and 40 pts spent in your other adventure pages. You'll notice an increase in dps, healing, ultility, survivability... or some combination there of. I do agree that if you've got alot of AA at lower levels, you can't spend them all on the adventure tabs and/or you don't have all the abilities that the AAs buff early on so you shouldn't need a AA mirror while leveling up. |

Okay..i will just not worry about spending some aa on my crafting for now...Granted I haven't had any problems with success in my crafting but i like the harvesting buffs they offer plus the speed. I will probably be able to make the mirror by the time i need it as i will have every tradeskill...unless it's requiring several level 90ish tradeskill materials...But in 2 weeks i have 3 level 30+ crafters so that's my thing. Thanks so much for the advice!

When you're ready, the mirror does require a semi-rare adventuring drop from Kunark era dungeons and instances (Reflective smoldering shard), but they are tradeable so you will be able to buy one from someone else on the Broker if you can't get one to drop or you want a mirror before you reach your 70's-80's adventuring. |

And on my server, they cost between 1-5g, so get a bunch and get all your toons their mirrors. You can have multiple mirrors if you have multiple houses/inns as well, one per building. They are lore, so just make sure you place each of them between trying to get another crafted. The recipe itself is a faction recipe, and cost, I believe, something like 30-50g? But if you do the rush order writs, you'll be able to easily get the faction needed. |

Oh thanks for the info on that. I will buy some of those shards and look for the receipe. I have 40k faction in the ravens but not sure if that's the right one didn't notice a receipe there just been buying the crafting benches for my house so far. I will look for that receipe. I don't have a woodworker yet but it's my next proff.

The recipe is 'grandmaster's something or other' from your crafting faction merchant I believe. |
