Well, we have another Maj Dul themed "house".  It's gorgeous but it's ridiculously gigantic.  Each of the towers has two floors each. I got lost at one point. I hope they make the item count 2k.

I would prefer the block off three of the four towers and make it so you can get into the large main center tower. Come on.

Here are some screenies:

Without Meatbeast, the Court would be too sad for me to live in.

This is lovely. And indeed the place is massive. I hope we get a huge item count (similar to dungeon maker count).

If it's in Maj'Dul I might be tempted.  Otherwise no.  I'm not acquiring another house located in the exact same spot in Qeynos.   Same for the Rivervale style house...I'll take one in Enchanted Lands or Rivervale itself.

This place is insanely huge! Maybe 1 tower and a bit of a courtyard would be more managable. Pretty, but wow, it needs cropping :p

Love the size! Keep it the way it is (and include the central palace part).... Give it all to us. Put it on the marketplace.

Was thinking miniature golf, croquet, steeple chase, housing for each alt - a tower all to themselves. No need to make several buildings - it is all right there and ready to go.

I appreciate being given almost the whole Shimmering Citadel zone to play in, I really do, but there is no way on Norrath that I will ever purchase a home like this for decorating purposes.  It's WAAAAAAYYY too big!  It took pretty much 15 mins of my achey paws jogging through the place, and I still don't think I saw everything there was to see. SMILEY  I agree with the others here, please trim it down or give us the front courtyard and the main tower to live in.

Btw, did anyone else notice that the water in the fountain was flowing UP? SMILEY

HAHA, yes!  I was looking at it earlier, and when I ran around the fountain to see the flower pots, I had a double take when I looked at the water.

I guess that, in a world where quantum physics and string theory have been completely figured out in the centuries prior, water traveling up is something that's easily done.

This home has day/sunset/evening cycling through. That's pretty cool.

The center section is Poet's Palace, an instance, so I doubt there's any art in there since you access it via the portal.

Why do you want the devs to trim it down when you can do it yourself? Devs trim it down = everybody gets a smaller Court of the Master, including those who might appreciate the huge space. You trim it down yourself to whatever size suits you = everybody's happy. If all you want is the front courtyard and the main tower, then block the rest off and use only the space you want/need. Isn't that what this forum is all about, making creative use of space?

For instance, while I have several characters with Mistmoor Crags Estates, none of them use the entire mansion. They've all been redesigned to such an extent that you can barely recognize the original layout. I particularly enjoy creating rooms on top of rooms, and finding new spaces - and it looks like Court of the Master could possibly be very interesting to play with.

I agree.. If you want it trimmed, block off some spots. While it would be nice to live in the main tower.. why deprive those who want a huge house?  Use some hedge seeds, or walls or something to get it the way you like it. SMILEY

Got a video up of this home now: http://eq2.zam.com/video.html?video=753

Though my Troubador has been collecting Maj'Dul themed homes, I think I'm going to pass on this one. I just have absolutely no idea what to do with it. Maybe I'll pick up the deed if I see it on heavy discount one day, and hopefully an idea will strike me.. SMILEY

Yet another house that could be better served as a guild hall.  The teleporter pads would definitely come in handy for this place.

'trim it down' or 'plz decrease the size' sound silly to me, just leave the size as it is now and modify several minor details if needed.

I mean, come on. Let's have our choice. It not even like they release prestige homes every 6 months. And nobody forces you to decorate all area there is.   =)

It has always flowed upwards in Shimmering Citadel.

When are tp pads going to be available to carpenters (I think they should require some sort of magically acquired process - dusts, reflective shards, sage crafted something?).

Sorry Sony, I'm just not into the whole Arabian Nights theme ( is this number 4 or 5 ? ), or these gigantic, city sized " homes". As the majority of posters have stated, this and IMO alot of the other " homes" are just too huge and out of proportion. Better that they be used as GHs with item counts more than standard 5 - 800, for guild creativity.

I too wish some of the largest ones would have been used as guild hall skins.  The thurgadin hall, the one in this thread, and some other very large ones would make very nice guild halls.

Edit: Oh, and that raid acquired one that I've never seen anyone have to decorate.

Kromzek home was taken off loot tables, last I heard. Nobody has EVER gotten it.

I have been wanting this one, also. I had no idea they took down the raid dropped house from loot table. I just hope we see this one soon.

And, so much for Smokejumper telling us that there would be more houses available "in game" instead of the SC store.

I would love to see raid drop homes, but also homes via quests. I made a suggestion several months ago about quested housing. Make the quests long and involved, and the reward be a racial-themed prestige home. Perhaps a tree house for wood elves/fae, swamp home for trolls, frogloks and ogres, that kind of thing.

Well, I do think that the Kromzek raid home was a valiant first shot at getting homes off SC. That home was never dropped/discovered because nobody cleared PoW (the last place I remember it being on the loot table), and this was just a side effect of the PoW issue. To date, the top three guilds in EQ2 have only cleared 5/9 bosses, and the home was supposed to drop from the last. The fact that this zone was never cleared is a whole 'nother issue and thread; I suspect the gate may still be up to keep top end raiders interested, or possibly that the devs underestimated how hard the zone would be. For context, PoW was introduced in GU61.

To the people speculating that this home will be a gift for SOE Live participants in 2012, that's also false. This year's swag is something else, spoiler withheld.

Great idea.   I think their idea of "in game" obtained is raid and the ones you get from purchasing the expansions such as the everfrost summer home and lavastorm ones.

It would be great if we had quest obtained ones, with the nice long quest to go with it.   I like your idea.
