Kerr just sits there, I hail him, he says to talk to me when I am ready. I am ready! I hail him again, nothing. He says the same thing!

Wait, are you saying a quest i reported broken on the very first day of test has not been fixed...

Looks like it's not broken for everyone as zam reports the next steps

It wasn't broken when I ran it ~2 weeks ago on Test, which is where the walkthrough came from. It's possible something broke it after I ran it. Make sure you /bug this in game.

I just ran it on live yesterday and it worked fine. Try deleting the quest and getting it again? I will take a look today and see if I can get it to break.

The quest is broken for me as well. I actually can't even hail him, I have to target him and hit "h" to get the quest to begin, then do it again to say I am ready... but he just sits there. I have deleted it multiple times and tried doing it, same thing.

This is exactly the issue i had on test. Deleted also tried again, waited 10 minutes hoping something would happen but nothing... Bugged it... And it's on live :p

Sounds like the infamous 'fix then patch without the fix' bug. New versioning system anyone?

Nope sounds like something else since it works for some.

Probably a sequencing issue.

If it isn't working switch WL instances and it'll work, at least it did for me and another person I know of.

I had the same problem yesterday. I deleted it multiple times, restarted the game and it just kept doing the same thing. Maybe today it will know what's going on.

It worked for me today. He was actually standing up this time and had a "hail me" cursor. I was in a different instance of WL so who knows.

Removing the Corruption seems to be broke too. There was a red book above Kerr's head when my son went to turn it in. He would not respond when clicked on. My son had to type /hail to get Kerr to respond.

I am thinking that is not the quests but Kerr that is broken, eh?

Someone needs to tell him that this is not Everquest I, ROFL!

EDIT - And now, the same problem with All You Need is Time, the followup, is happening with my son. Kerr just sits there doing nothing.

Nope. it is still broken. I can hail him and go through his dialog finishing with "I will protect you" and then nothing. he just stands there.

I had this problem yesterday...

If you hail the seated version of him that means someone else has just completed the quest ahead of you (the correct one is standing, he doesn't sit until the quest is complete). Even though you can force him through the dialog by hitting 'H' to hail him you won't get him to do anything.

What you need to do if you are stuck in that state is to delete the quest and get it fresh from a standing version of him - after that you can hail him again and start the quest.

Though - from the sounds of it - they are fixing it so the above will likely be moot soon. SMILEY

bah, as usual Splitpaw has to wait for the following day to get the hotfix.

Luckly I was able to get into a new instance where the quest had not yet be completed and do the quest. It took me a few attempts as my gear isnt great but i got there in the end.

It looks like only one person per instance can complete the quest as someone who arrived just after i was finished was unable to proceed.

OK, I was able to complete this quest today, but now there is a new problem. Since this quest was bugged, I skipped ahead and worked on the questline at the Scantuary of Tears. Now when I try to complete the quest: "The Road Less Travelled", Elder Kionn is gone - and the quest cannot be finished.

I /bugged it in game.

Does not work for me on any toon I tried it with. He just stands there and does not do anything and no mobs spawn that you are supposed to be protecting him from. I'm on Crushbone and sent a /petition. Hopefully the GM just awards a quest advancement. I dont want to wait weeks for them to patch it. It's part of the main quest arc and its broken, bad job SoE.

Still broken. After "I am ready, nothing shall harm you!" nothing happens. I wait for several minutes. Deleting the quest and start again didn't help. Logoff and login again didn't help.

It wouldn't be so bad but to have someone run up, hail and complete the quest while try to to get him going, just irks the you-know-what out of me. Why is this quest working for some and not others?

I am stuck at level 90 because I can't move forward at this time in the questline.

There are now 4 people here that can't update this quest. We are thinking of committing satyr-cide!

I just also hit the issue on Unrest on 04.21.12. I was able to get around it by zoning out of the instance of "The Withered Lands" I was in and into another. I had been in instance #1 when it wasn't working. I called home to Qeynos and then went back and was placed in instance #4 and then it worked.

Camping to myself which put me back into instance #1 did not resolve it.

Not sure if it is significant - but I did delete the quest before zoning into Withered Lands #4

I can confirm that changing the instance works! Just delete the Quest before you enter the Withering Lands again.
