Is this possible? Because with the new apprentices, if you level out of a range, can you no longer research the weapons appropriate to that level range? Say, if I want to research all the level 10 recipes, but every time I do the quests I level up, I may be in danger of hitting level 20 and losing the ability to access them. |

Im not sure i understand ur question, but if u turn 20 in tradeskill u will still be able to research the lvl 10 recipes. But what i really want to know myself is : what happens once u have researched all recipes of a certain tier...does that mean u can NEVER get a daily ts mission from ur apprentice for that tier again? How about low lvl adventurers, but lvl 90 tradeskillers, when their apprentice has researched all for lvl 90, how will they get a lvl 90 reactant? EDIT : reread ur question, think we are on the same page, lol, sry for the confusion. |

The research assistants can research any recipe at their level or lower. You don't lose the ability research a recipe just because you're higher level. |

Same place we get spirit-warped wood or other mob-dropped materials; buy them off the broker, barter for them in exchange for crafted goods, or advertize we can do commissions for those items as long as the person ordering has the mats. |

This brings up a good point, how are we supposed to get the reactants AFTER we've researched all of a tier's recipes. Bartering is a great option (unless you are like me and have oodles of alts and hold on to such things for my own toons ) . Broker really depends on the types of funds a player has available to them. The t9 reactant on my server is exhorbitant (think lowest for 1 reactant is going for 700p on broker, saw one on auction go for 600p). I'd imagine the prices will stabilize once more are out there, but even then, will there be that many to be had to not warrant looking at an alternative way to get them? (my apologies if this is not exactly on point to OPs original question) |

Aren't the rewards based off your trade skill level vs. the recipe level you are researching? I have gotten 2 so far and i believe they were level 60s (had to verify, both were Anomalous Reactants) and i was researching a level 10 and level 20 recipe. Noticed that the harvest rewards were based off your trade skill level as well. Raises the point that eventually every one would only have the chance to get the upper tier reactants via the daily quest. The lower levels would slowly dry up and only be available from adventurers defeating the content.

Reactants are dropping all over the place, even off solo mobs. However if you *only* tradeskill, then your options to get them will be limited.

Using myself as an example, I run approximately 5-8 zones a day, I see the essences dropping all the time, but have not seen one reactant. Of course can be I'm extremely unlucky :p but I have not seen one reactant yet. The zones range from TSO to DoV (at level 90), just my daily routine runs. (just to clarify, by not seeing any yet, I mean dropped from a mob/chest, as I've already received one from an apprentice ) |

If your saying that a million monkeys pounding away on a typewriter and one will write the complete works of shakespear your about right. I'm sure a few reactants have dropped in each zone in the game. Now when your talking about individual players that is a different story. In my guild we've only seen 1 drop. Several people have gotten one from doing the apprentice's crafting quest, but only one person has gotten a level 10 reactant to drop so far. We usually have between 20 and 40 people on any given day. You'd think we'd see a few more, wouldn't you? |
