So the new launcher is now installed and I'm patching. It says I have 14,002MB download. Is that right? That's almost the whole game isn't it? Why should that be when I already have the game and the expack I've bought is just AoD?

Thats the whole game.  What I assume may have happened is you installed our new LP4 manually to it's default location but your older installation is still over in C:Program Files, C:Program Files (x86), or C:ProgramData

The new default path is C:UsersPublic

You can stop the patcher and move the PAKS folder from your old installation to the new one.  Once you do and start the LP, it will scan those files and skip everything thats already intact.

You can port over any previous UI modifications and settings by copying over the following files

UI Folder (any custom UI files would be installed here)

eq2_recent.ini (options settings)

__eq2_uisettings.xml (UI settings)

Hmm... sorry, I'm a bit confused. I thought I'd specified the correct directory. No worries, I'll just let it continue as it's over halfway now (I knew I should've got myself a faster download from my ISP).

EDIT - er yeah... my ISP just nom'd itself so I had to start again anyway. This time, I carefully checked what I was doing and it's now at 95% finished after a scan of existing files. I must've been caffeine affected last time. That, or too little beer. Nevermind - it's closer than before. Wish me luck! Oh, and thanks

EDIT 2 - Yup. I'm in. All is well! **cheers**
