Where are my pre update characters? I am paying for two subscriptions and I am unable to access any characters which I have been leveling up for the past month. I log into my account through lp4 and enter the game, but in my character selection screen I see the option to create a new character. It also asks if I want to buy another slot. I am paying for gold membership, whats up?? I don't want to start anew, I want the characters I have invested time into. Please help, do not give a small answer, walk me through this. Thanks.

Sorry to say but it sounds like you are logging in to the wrong account if you are certain you had characters there before.  Nothing has been purged.

Contact our support staff directly and we can track down the specific characters you are looking for and get you going in the right direction.

ok hilarious thing.. I was reading the thread on locked toons. My characters are not locked, but one person said that they just needed to switch their launchpad to EU. I did this and my characters are on! The game put them on splitpaw server for some reason when I first set it. Funny thing is that I live in Alaska...

Either way, if you see anybody having this problem make sure they check the regional settings in their launchpad.

thanks, and sorry for my impatience, keep up the good work team.

SMILEY

You can transfer that character to a North American server if you so choose!

Aaah! That's just the problem I had too! I changed to EU and my characters appeared instantly. Awesome! I suggest SOE mention to everyone who has the same problem.

ah but will that cost me $25? Because when I bought the box and set EQ2 up and went in to play the only server it allowed me to choose was splitpaw--not my fault that it set me into EU. If so, i'll stick with them. It would be nice if you had a bangers and mash recipe patched to make up for it.

This happened to my boyfriend too.  He had camped out to fix a UI issue then relogged to find...no one home... had him check the EU and that was the problem.

Just out of curiosity did anyone encounter this after already changing to EU?  Logging out setting it back to US for instance.
