EQ2X Characters now showing with live launcher

FYI.

My EQ2X characters now show when I click play on the EQ2 Live launcher. (This is how it should be)

Just letting EQ2X players know we are shifted when server comes up.

See what happens closer to the server opening (about 2.5 hours if SoE are on time), it's entirely possible the character limit tweaks haven't been applied yet.

Unless you're a former live subscriber with no toons on Freeport, in which case I think two toons is correct for Free sub level.

Says 5 of 8 chars are locked right now.

Hopefully its just because account service is down

this is very typical of when the game is not up yet.  my characters on everfrost are not even showing up.

 I have 4 active Freeport copied toons and 6 live toons all paid for by the monthly sub and even having purchased extra slots for the others and I am showing 8 out of my 10 toons not being accessable.

This is SOE when you see a problem you should point it out because if the past is any indication they probably messed something up.  You guys thinking oh this will fix itself clearly haven't been playing this game long enough.  While it is entirely possible this is all going to plan posting that there looks like there might be a problem isn't going to hurt anything.

I have the same, 3 characters locked and the empty slots I saved for new toons are gone. I really hope it's something that'll fix itself before the servers come up. I should have 13 or 14 character slots, 11 used and 2 or 3 empty. I can't remember the exact number, but my "create character" button was NOT grayed out yesterday and it is now. I bought a couple of slots, plus one I got from an LON loot card. I was under the impression from SJ that we wouldn't lose anything, so I really hope this is just a temporary issue.

no...  almost every time that the servers go down for extended downtime and i can log in BEFORE they are back, i lose half of my characters.  panic if you want, but it is premature.

I've played this game since launch, and I have had the experience that all my characters do not show up on the list when the servers are locked. It happens frequently on Tuesdays. The first time I noticed it, half my toons were gone and I freaked out and called SOE and made a big hairy deal over it. When the servers came up though, everything was where it should be...so it did indeed fix itself. It has happened many times since that first one, but I've not had a problem once the servers unlocked. I'm hoping that is the case this time around.

my everfrost characters have been found!  it is pretty cool to see all my guys together on one screen (even though over half of them are locked atm.)

still cannot log into my son's account.

we are getting close though, i know, bc they found the everfrost characters .

like i said, go ahead and panic pre-maturely.  maybe you like extra stress?  they arent done.  sometimes i wish that they would just keep it all down so the sky is falling posts dont happen.  i tried to tell you guys but you'll panic anyway so, so be it.

WHEN the servers come back up, IF you are still "locked", then you can complain, petition & call and be fully justified.  you know that i would be doing that but i'm not worried yet bc they are not done.

Your world must really suck where pointing out a potential problem equals panic.  Me I live in a world where if you see something weird you don't sit around and wait for it to fix itself.  It could be nothing or SoE maybe forgot to run the script which they can read from us something is wrong and go DOH and run it.

Clearly, I didn't explain myself well enough since I have to spell this out. I did say, in my first response that 3 of my characters are locked, so yes, I know what the problem is. I was also saying that I hope this is the kind of glitch that fixes itself, and you told me that SOE problems don't fix themselves and I must be a noob to not realize it. Well the missing characters issue in the past has fixed itself, and hopefully this one will too. Sheesh, so much hostility and all I was trying to do was reassure you. Nevermind, have at your panic attack.

to get the new launcher, i had to use the profit updater to update the ui, then log into  with my station launcher.

the station launcher downloaded some stuff and opened the new launcher and started patching 2.6 gigs of data
