![]() ******** Original Post for this thread ******** So I mentioned in chat I had an idea to make a program that would be able to scan all the layouts in a directory and build one master manifest of how many of each item are in each house... What this does is it builds a list of all the layouts, Opens them all up and reads the Zone Information and does a quick row count (filters comment lines). It will then Process the most recent file for that zone that has over X(configurable) number of items in the file. You can Select a house on the Left side and right click to rename the house. This will be saved to an XML file in the program's directory and referenced whenever you load the program. This name is matched up by the ZoneID which should be persistent unless SOE merges servers or rebuilds the zone tables. (clicking on a house on the left will filter the list on the right) You can select a layout on the right and right click to manually load that layout. This will clear any already loaded data for that house. The Items list tab looks like this - Clicking on a house on the left will filter the list on the right. I need to test this out some more but I think it is 99% done at this point. |

one file at a time yes .. but if you have 10 houses you use to store items in .. finding things can takes a while. With this program .. one click and you have a list of every house you have a layout for. |

![]() Yes, I eagerly await this! I'm thinking that you're just going to have to identify house names by the name the user gives their layout file. If I have a Frostfell storage warehouse, i'd just name the file Frostfell_Warehouse, so it would be easy to identify within this program, and it wouldn't have to compare multiple layout file versions of the same home. I'd just always save over the previous one. One thing I would like to see is for this program to be able to copy files from my layouts folder into the folder I've specified as the one that holds all my storage home layouts. The program would look through the storage homes folder, and then the layout folder, and see if there are any newer versions of the storage homes folder files within the layout files folder. Otherwise, I'll have to manually copy over all the storage homes layout files to the folder for this app each time I use it, to make sure the files it is going by are the newest ones. I'm sure you understand how cluttered my layout folder might be! Heh heh. Such a mess.

I have asked SOE if they can put in a unique ID into the layouts. I know this isnt very useful for anything but what I am doing, but it could be a very easy change for SOE. In the mean time I am building a lookup table that will "always parse" a given filename(s). I dont want to rework my data structure in case SOE can make the change. So what this will do is look for a matching filename and if found it will assign a fake ZoneID. This way the current functionality remains the same. Tock@Antonia Bayle wrote:
shouldn't be a problem... Will likely be a 3rd tab. |

![]() Added the File Manager tab. This will only show up if "Manage Files" is checked in settings. You can only check this box if "Scan EQ2 Dir" is not checked.

![]() was just finishing up version 1.0.1.1 and then I get a pm to here.. PLAYER HOUSING Added a unique house ID number to saved house layout files. This can be used to identify a file from one house that has the same zone as another house.NOTE: Old version 5 files should still be loadable. New saved files will be version 6 and include the unique ID. Thanks Domino (and Maevianiu I am guessing) ! |

![]() What does it mean that "old bugs associated with Version 5 will still apply"? This is the message I get now after updating my Layout Editor version. And is there a way to make this message go away every time I save changes? Thank you for all your hard work Jesdyr |

![]() NVM .. I didnt notice this went LIVE today as well .. I will need to make a code change to make that go away. It was something I added in to upconvert older versions of layouts (was a request). I need to get a sample of the version 6 before I can properly fix it. |

![]() I finally got to try this out and so far i like it but I have one issue. I search for an item and the program finds it, It says it's in a 5 room halas house, but I have 2 5 room Halas homes. I see the houses list and it has them listed by name but I can't seem to find a way on the items tab to determine which 5 room halas house it's in. Is there a way to give the houses names on the items tab as well as the houses tab? Can you already and I just can't figure it out? |

![]() Anyone else having an issue with the Organizer keeping house names? I can't seen to save them after I close the program down. It also does not want to close down properly. I have a feeling it is the same issue. I still use it A LOT - so thanks again - just wondering if I can fix that little problem.

![]() Started trying to use this, and I just can't wrap my head around what I'm doing wrong... It shows all the items for some houses, but nothing at all for others...
