![]() HOUSE RATING SYSTEM
You can access the 'Housing Leaderboards' window through the EQII menu. To publish a house, click on your house door while inside your house and choose the 'Publish' icon. |

![]() The load layout button from the /house interface does not show the list of saved layouts. I have several, including new ones I just saved, and they will load if I type /load_layout Layoutfilename, but they will not show me a list of my saved layouts. The box is just empty. Others are experiencing the same issue in this thread. |

![]() The pop-up box when publishing your home tells you that all awards will be kept. The pop-up box when unpublishing your home tells you that all awards will be reset. Which is it? Items appear to lock and unlock appropriately. Visiting worked fine, though mine is the only one on Test listed at the moment, but it still took me to my skiff from another house. Rated someone's house, they named it "Just a test" but when I clicked the rating button it asked me to rate "Soandso's Inn Room". For consistancy you should be rating what the player named the house! |

![]() I really like this feature, especially because you get ported directly to the person's house, however I can forsee a major exploit with this mechanic. The go to house feature is really nice however, what happens whenever you get a house on the leaderboards and people allow other people to put sale's crates in the house? From my understanding the amount of sale's crates a single house can contain was increased but, how many can a single house have? |

What is the major exploit you can think of? You shouldn't be allowed to use this visit mechanic if you are in combat or inside a non-house instance. |

Thanks, glad to hear that! Next question: Is there a slash command to access the Housing Directory/Leaderboards? I rarely use the game menu. |

![]() This looks like it should provide hours of fun in touring and getting ideas! Will it be possible for people with multiple accounts to artifically bump up their own ratings though? Or do you not foresee this happening? Just a random thought that the hubby thought of, especially if there are nice rewards involved. |

Okay well that makes a lot of sense, but I still see it being a small exploit/convience. You use the rating system goto the house buy an item and once you leave you are back where ever you started. Example: I'm raiding I zone out of the instance, use the house rating system to goto a persons house to buy an item (arrows for example) I leave the house I am right back outside the instance. Thus I just have to zone back into and I am ready to go. Its more of a convience exploit than anything else. |

![]() The guild filter doesn't appear to be doing anything. Cloudrat published Heroes of Test hall and it's not showing up at all. The guild filter still shows only published homes. The My Homes filter works fine though. It'd be nice to be able to: 1. See the home's owner on the directory and2. Be able to search for homes by owner. Just a suggestion for the house categories as well, maybe have houses categorized by item count instead? Massive could be 900+, Large could be 600-899, Medium 300-599. Small 0-299. |

![]() I only hoped on Test for 5 minutes to add my House of events and will check better tomorrow. I like the new buttons, the whole voting process (have to visit, voting icon pops up, it's very user friendly) and the way to save screenshots. Something is bothering me: A lot of person are using the moving crate for storage. When a house is published, all items in the crate are showing "pack in moving crate" in red below the name of the item. I think this part is a bug (I don't understand why it's writting that). Of course, it's not possible to move items out of the crate and into the house as it would change the look of the house, so "move item" is greyed out.But could it be possible to enable "retrieve item"? The items in the moving crate have nothing to do with the look of the house and taking them into the inventory wouldn't pose a problem... and would once more enable the possibility to store into the house. |

![]() Whilhelmina's comment also made me think of something else. Would using the "move all items" button to move items to a published house cause problems? Hmmm might have to try that out on Test Copy. edit: Ok I tried it now. You can move items from an unpublished house to a publish house. I tried it with one item in the unpublished house and it is now in a moving crate in the published house. It also just let me move all of the items from the published house to a different house... which I'm guessing is not supposed to be allowed? The house is still on the directory after doing that. |

Allowing you to retrieve an item out of a moving crate is something we could look at allowing. I agree it won't affect the layout of the house and should be fine. |

Yeah, you probably shouldn't be able to move all your items out if its published. We would need to require you to unpublish the house first. |

![]() I was able to use the /load_layout Layoutfilename to change the house without unpublishing. Also as trustee of one of my own houses I was able to come sit items down anywhere. I couldn't move them or pick them up after I'd placed them, but had no problems sitting them down in my house initially. |

![]() Loving this feature, it's very nicely done. My question is though, if/when the dungeon finder goes cross server, will it be possible to visit other server homes via this tool as well? It would be so great to be able to visit other peoples homes game wide w/o having to make new characters. Just curious if this has come up yet on your radar. |

We've talked about it but its not in the plans as of yet. Besides moving your character between worlds, all of the house rating data would have to be published to a central server rather than separated by world. |

![]() 1. I voted 15 times for my house with toons on my other account. .......I suppose one vote per house per account might be in order here. 2. I was able to publish all my houses to the ratings which eliminates my need for portals between houses. I can just use the visit system. 3. Did I say I could publish all my houses? I now can visit every city in the Norrath with housing and never need call to home or guildhall or portals or bells or cool down timers. WHOOOT ! |

![]() After sleeping on it.... a problem that might occur...too many houses on the list, much like the list from guildhall portal to home which only has houses to which we are friended/trusteed. This would definately preclude a global list, unless the ability to travel cross server was only to hall of fame homes. |

I think this is a cool feature. The only downside I can see is if you want to add some new trinket or piece of furniture, you'd then need to unpublish/publish over and over. If that's not a big issue, then it's worth publishing once everything is set up just for the convenience. |

![]() I'm afraid that this whole "4 categories" will become crowded very fast. Isn't it possible to split it a bit more? By city it would make, I guess:
So 24 categories, 3 more if we add T1, T2 and T3 halls. Or something more small:
So 10 categories, 3 more with halls. And (if not sorting by city), adding the location of the house somewhere (below the name of the house). |

![]() I am still worry the only houses that will rank highest will be the layout editor/break out housing. My wife does AMAIZING work, but has no tech instinct for the editor.... |

Just had a go on this, and when visiting a house I rated it. Then when I went to leave by clicking the house door, the rating button is on the house exit panel so I rated it again, and again and again... I'm not sure letting one toon vote over and over again is a good thing.
