Topic say's it all. Can evac's become disabled while actively particapting in a public quest?

Had the name at 10% with two groups, the 2nd group being 6 tanks, and group 1 gets evacced. Luckily they were able to hold off long enough for us to get back.

Lack of focus should have consequences...

Mentioning this incident in 1-9 will probably make sure that person moves Evac to another hotbar. SMILEY

While I feel for you, crap like that happens. I was on a late raid back in eq where our normally very competant raid leader accidently ported his whole group to another zone. It sucks, but it's the sort of mistake only made once.

The evaccer should have been more careful & had their evac somewhere less easy to hit by mistake.

Back during KoS I had one idjit scout evac his group TWICE in the same raid, once during the final fight with Vyemm and the Alzid. Nothing like being the tank so that all you can see is dragon hiney and finding out HE DID IT AGAIN!

The answer to this is either to make sure the culprit is never in your group or PQ, or to figure out who it is and relentlessly make fun of him until he moves his evac button somewhere safer.

SOE shouldn't have to be our cyber nanny to compensate for people who don't [deleted][rude][obscene] know how to play.

Couldnt tell who evacced us. Espically when there were 5 people in group that had evac. Maybe instead of disabling it, how about a red text, "Player has evacced the group" or something. That way we can kick them, belittle them in channel chat, and never reinvite them SMILEY

Awww come on, the poor guy was probably already kicking himself and dying of embarrasment.  But yeah, evac needs to be well away from anything you actually click on.

what woud be nice is the ability to click "NO".  instead of a 1 min timer, make it short like 3 secs or 1 sec.  (there could be a YES or NO button and the default is evac in 3 seconds.) it is incredibly annoying when someone ninja evacs me.

i do like the idea of the red text that will announce "NAME ECAV'D YOUR GROUP".  ppl should make macros announcing the evac but most do not and maybe it is so they can hide if others did not wish to be evac'd.

if they do either or both of those, it would help with the PQ evacs.  obviously, you could click "NO" and stay put.  with the announcement, ppl would most likely be more careful on their evac placement's on hotkeys.

I dunno about you guys, but generally the group isn't going to survive 3 seconds of "Hey do you /really/ want to evac?".  If the scout hits evac, 99% of the time it's an "Oh snap, it hit the fan, let's get outta here" situation.  Anyone with evac should move the button if they don't feel comfortable in their abilities to not accidentally evac a group, but I guess in this day and age I can agree that the disabling of evac during PQs would be a good move.

Worst suggestion ever, the only situation this would be viable is an out of combat evac.

Accidents happen. That's no reason to kick, tease, and never invite to group or raid again. Everyone makes mistakes, they happen, get over it, and move on.

If it's one time, it's a mistake, and only ask that those who have the ability move it someplace safer, I keep my FotP (Fall of the Pheonix-group-Feign Death) on a a hotbar that requires me to mouseclick it.

Twice, then you can be more public-shaming

Third time is exile SMILEY

Who put the raid together with 6 tanks in one group and 5 evacers in the other?

I could see that with Ringwar, In group that takes down the recruits you want High DPS with  Brawler class tanks to take them down quickly.

hehe! Sounds kinda like a typical "middle of the night and no one's on" PQ to me   Seriously, I was in a RW at around 4am EST one night... we were still able to wrangle up a full raid, one that had 18 tanks, two healers (both mystics -- and I was one of em!), and four scouts and mages. Slowest... Ring War... ever -- but we did win... eventually
