So, I'm ready to cry. I assumed that when I moved from the Valor Homesteads to Honor Homesteads, that I would be getting a bigger place for 21g. After all, that's what happened when I bought another one of my alts the "one step up from new player" housing in Qeynos. Come to find out that Valor and Honor Homesteads are identical. What gives? Why would anyone pay 82s per week vs. 5s per week for the same thing?

It pays to take a quick tour before buying, that way you'll know what you're getting.

82s vs 5s lol.

It's location, and If you seriously have an issue with paying 82 silver a week then go sell two low level adepts for 6g/pop and you have rent for at least 2 months.

I'm not sure what you mean by it being "location."I just chose New Halas because I like the interior. This isn't New York City, and space isn't limited.

And I don't have a problem paying with 82s a week. I'm just looking for an explanation as far as the logic, given that paying more for a starter house, plus one vendor slot, doesn't seem to be the norm in other cities.

Back in the day, before adding another room and now, the 6 slots for everyone, it was a desirable place for those who wanted an additional broker slot for selling on the broker and did not need space larger than the starter Inn. Neutral cities are great places to sell from and at one time, that additional slot was desirable and woth the purchase price.

Thank you! That cleared it up for me.
