Shared stats

The Velious update notes said:

"Controllable Pets, including Possess Essence and Charm, will now share the following of their owner’s stats at a 1:1 ratio:

Attributes"

Stamina is an attribute. I have 2k stamina and the character window says, I get 20 k HP for it. My pet has even 2.2 k stamina. But when I possess the pet it has less HP than me and the character window says, it gets 2k HP from stamina. So the stamina is shared with the pet, but it doesn't affect the HP at all. Is this intended?
