![]() So along with the countless others that have been hacked recently, I too was hacked on Xmas morning. Found all my toons stripped and robbed of everything they had. As if that wasn't bad enough, they took my toon, who is an officer in the guild, and proceeded to take EVERYTHING!!!.....at least 2000 plat, tons of rares, manas..etc.... I put in my petition, spoke to the person on the other end of the chat, have sat patiently, read the countless post from other peeps who have been hacked....blah blah blah. Here's what I see: 1. Sony apparently doesn't really give a [Removed for Content]. They had hacked accounts dating back to the 18th of Dec..YET they still sent off the GMs that handle this on their 2 week vacation. Obviously it isn't all that important to them. 2. It's clear that there is a serious problem with the security of the game. I personally think it has something to tdo with the mergers because it seems that a great many were done around the time of the mergers. They will of course deny this. Deny all you want. Your man Smoke jumper hasn't even bothered to address this situation. He only comes on when he wants us to buy more crap from SC. 3. I have read many comments that state that if there was a GM that you could buy with SC, these problems would be resolved in 20 minutes. I don't disagree. But here's the most offensive statement I have seen so far.... ""We apologize for any miss-communication. Your petition is not closed. Your account has been verified and secured and, for the moment, due to the shear volume of petitions, we are temporarily putting the restoration of compromised accounts on hold. You will not go to the back of waiting line; the handling of your petition will be respected by the order in which it came. Thank you for your comprehension. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!!! You are temporarily putting all this on hold??!? Seriously?? Here's the deal. There could be 10 deeds done by a person. 9 of those deeds are good and well intentioned. The 10th is a bad deed. NO ONE will remember the 9 good ones, only the 1 bad one. With the failure of Sentinel's Fate. With Expansions coming out buggy and incomplete. With security problems due to mergers and hacks and players getting shafted and being put on the back burner as if it was their fault.... YOU SOE have started digging your own grave. I have played this gamne since launch. I have dropped a ton of money on your marketplace. You would think with 2-3 big MMO's coming out this year you would step up your game and at least make an effort on keeping your loyal fan base happy....apparently you don't care. Sad....just sad. |

![]() Words taken right out of my mouth (and some frommy posts I mean, there is so much more I would LOVE to say to Sony about all this, but I don't want to be banned or burn bridges before my account is restored. I just don't know if I like the direction EQ2 is heading. It really only seems they respond to their cash cow, Station Cash posts anymore. Even posts about general gameplay go relatively untouched nowadays. It's just sad to see a multi-million dollar company go this path. Sony is doing what they wanted I guess. By ignoring us, they have effectively defeated us. I'm close to being hopeless. I don't really know what else to say... |

![]() I have to add to this. First. I agree it's an issue stemming off server merges. I found out today two friends of mine, and a bunch of their guild members got nailed in November. That's when the mergers started yes? Same MO.. naked on gorowyn dock. Second, the first thing we're told is scan our systems for keyloggers, etc. Like this is our fault for visiting some risque site. Well guess what? One of my friend's accounts wasn't even active when it was hacked. It's been inactive for months due to RL stuff, and I guess he activated when his wife's account got hacked to check his own. This is not our problem!! There's obviously a hole somewhere in SOE's protection software or whatever they use because how else can a non active account get hacked? Today my ticket was updated to Waiting for GM. So here I sat all day.. hopeful. Nope, nothing. There's still a couple hours until they quit for the day... here's hoping. |

![]() i'm having somewhat the same problem. i got hacked yesterday in the morning i got on found all my stuff was gone, all i had on my system was some browser cookies no trojans or anything. when i reported to them that i got hacked they suspended my acount even though i already had it back, i'm thinking hello?! do you really think the hacker is gonna report the account hacked..... anyway i gave the gave the gm the info he requested to prove it was me and have been waiting about 24 hours for a reply. i still cant play and the chat support wouldnt even answer me when i asked them if i'm going to be credited for the days i can't play or if i'm still being charged. i cant get into my subscriptions to cancel my account because i dont want to pay for a game i cant play... sonys chat tsr wasnt even close to helpful or informative he just kept repeating himself... they really dont care it would appear. if they dont resolve this soon i'm just going to be finding a different game to play from a different company and they lose yet another customer... |
