(item)Innoruuk's Tear has a 30 minute recast?!?!?!

So.. there is an item used only on the swashbuckler epic quest called Innoruuk's Tear. It effects only the user and lowers stam str and speed and blurs your vision. There is NO reason anyone wouls use this for anythign other than the quest.

but for some reason there is a 30 minute recast timer on it. That would not be a problems except that you need to drink 3 of them to proceed in the quest.

It's hard to believe the developers simply wanted someone to stand around for 1:30 to move on to the next step here. This has to be an oversight.

If this is the kind of time sinks you want in the game, why not just have a vendor somewhere that sells potions that give you an epic weapon. Just require you to drink 3 of them and have a week long recast on eash potion.

I think this is an attempt at a reference to the movie The Princess Bride, and you are supposed to spend the EQ2 equivalent of "a few years building up an immunity to Iocaine Powder," err.. Innoruuk's Tear, I mean.

It is a kinda lame time sink, but Epic Quests in general are full of those. Except the Wizard one.. the Wizard epic is cake. On the bright side, the Swashbuckler Epic in general is awesome and has a fun and unique story. Not every epic has that.

The existance of the item does beg the question however... does The God of Hate cry? And what over?

You can't build up an immunity to something in 2 seconds. Be glad they didn't make it 24-hour recasts.

You aren't expected to "stand around" - go do something else with your life for 30 minutes or camp to an alt.
