![]() I'm posting on behalf of my cousin, who tried reactivating his account, after 3 years, a few days ago. We had to find the e-mail address he tied to the account, then try to have his password reset, only to find he doesn't remember his security question answer. So he figured he was stuck with the gibberish temporary password he got in the e-mail. He ended up paying for a month, using the password, and upon installing the game, found all his characters missing. We discovered his characters are still there, as they appear on his everquest2.com profile, yet he cannot access them. Another strange issue is that the temporary password he was given only works on the laptop he received it on. If I try to use the same password on my pc, it does not work. So my question is, I guess, what are his options? Who does he contact to get his password fixed, his security question changed, his characters back, etc? His character is Aldrahn from Unrest, if you need to find his account (I'd rather not post his account name here lol). If an account rep could e-mail him, or me, or reply to this post, that would be swell.

If his characters are there and cannot be accessed it sounds like the region is set incorreectly. If you are using 1. the old everquest 2 patcher - at the EULA upper right corner drop down box 2. station launcher (stream or full), logon to the client, then set the language under preferences As far as the rest, either the TSR might be able to help or have him use live chat to get it straightened out. He/she will need to validate proof of ownership, things like the old cc, old email, activation key, address information can be asked to validate ownership

![]() Thanks for trying to help, but that was actually my first guess, as well :-| But it's on English (US) which is pretty much the only option. Also, it seems Sony has no account support when people need it (nights and weekends) lol. My only guess is that his missing characters and inability to sign in on other computers has to do with using the temporary password, even though this makes no sense to me. It's sad... I've been relentlessly trying to get him back to EQ2 from WoW, since I came back a few months ago. Now he's rapidly losing interest in the face of all these issues, forcing me to try to fix it.

![]() More often than not, when people think their characters are missing, they've actually re-activated the wrong account. Tell him to either PM me, or better yet start a ticket and PM me with the reference number, and I should be able to get him fixed up. |
