A mighty hunter is looking for like minded adventurers to help him in Butcherblock Mountains. I think he’s likely to be near the griffon tower above the docks at around 5.15pm (PDT) on Friday 2^nd July.

New Halas is a bustling place these days and the research still goes on! The Coldain are still looking for more helpers at 5am (PDT) on Saturday 3^rd July. Who knows what their research will discover!

A late insertion of another piece of news here too! At 11.30am(PDT) on Wednesday that lovelorn Gnome will be seeking someone to help him in The Timorous Deep. I wonder if he will be in Gorowyn?

Tomorrow Wednesday 7^th at 8pm(PDT) more research will be conducted near New Halas. I’m still intrigued to know what manner of results they be having over there. Perhaps you will discover something.

Also the next day – Thursday the 8^th at 10.30am(PDT) I hear the Orcs in the Commonlands are still restless. Perhaps you could work toward some sort of resolution.

On the same day, later at around 12pm (PDT) I'm told, peoples are being invited to get their feet wet in Antonica.

Well the gossip vine is running overtime right now. So many things about to happen!

First up around 10am (PDT) on Thursday 15th in New Halas I hear there is a tourist arriving and in need of some local directions.

While we’re on the subject of tourists – yet another has found his way to Neriak and will be looking for some guidance around 12pm (PDT) on Thursday 15th

The Commonlands is still up to its neck in Orcs so perhaps you might like to sort a few things out around 6.30pm (PDT) again on Thursday 15^th.

While I’m here – another tidbit of news – on Friday 16^th around 5.15pm, a mighty Kerran hunter is fulfilling a merchants order and is looking for hardy adventurers in the Frostfang Sea area.

Well the gnomes definitely have it all happening in Norrath right now! I believe there are even Gnomes with Tomes about. If you missed seeing them recently then keep an eye out around 11am(PDT) on Wednesday 28^th in Steamfont again. I well imagine others will appear at other odd times as well- you know how unpredictable all those things to do with gnomes can be!

Now not all Gnomes are celebrating – there is one poor lovesick fellow hanging out in the Darklight Woods – you might find him around 5am (PDT) on Monday 26^th.

I tell you the gnomes are truly running amok in Norrath right now. I thinks it’s all those gnomish spirits everyone keeps delivering to them. Anyways I can’t keep up with all their activites so can only offer another bit of news for now even though they be out and about quite a bit.

Tomorrow Tuesday 27^th around 10.30 am (PDT) head out to the Greater Faydark- probably in Kelethin itself there is news of a gnomish invention that has gone haywire. I think it be time for some peoples to go and see what can be done before it does something nasty to the habitat.

And don’t forget what I tolds you the other day – a gnome with a Tome no less – don’t know what she is doing with it but check her out around 11am(PDT) on Wednesday 28^th in Steamfont.

Yes, it was a Guide. As has been explained before, when a quest is run, it isn't usually run as "Guide Soandso", but as a character created to run that quest. After all, since this one was to help out a gnomish contraption, running it as someone who is named Guide Darkelf or Guide Ratonga wouldn't be very sensible. Similarly, being on as a character named Bob the Farmer asking for help rounding up their pigs and saying "Hey this is Guide Soandso" would be silly.

I am sorry it was run in the wrong place by the person who did it.

As for the reward, it isn't intended to be a major piece of equipment. It is intended to be a small reward for someone who spent a few minutes helping out a clockwork with advice and maybe a cog or sprocket or two.

And it still wouldn't be accurate, because they are not on as their Guide avatar. They are on as a quest character.

The Guide title is only used when on as their actual Guide persona. In any other form, they are not Guide Bob, but John the Farmer or whatever role is required by that quest.Say for example I am participating in a quest as a lost pig. I am not there to be Guide Porky, but to be a lost pig and perform certain specific activities as that pig. And if some one sees a name with Guide in it they might expect a different service from me than I could do at that time.Say if someone got hopelessly stuck in a zone or bit of landscape. As a quest actor I cannot do anything about that. But as Guide Me, I can. So the abilities and allowances we have change depending on our current role. If they see Guide they can expect to be able to get some limited help possibly, or maybe some assistance with a question, or just chatting and maybe getting some milk and cookies. If they see a lost pig, then it's a lost pig.

But, we are always glad to get feedback. And concerns, complaints, kudos, or general suggestions are always welcome to be sent to [email protected] so that the folks upstairs and at SOE sees them.

ok did the tinker day quests ,.... guide was on time,... cool,... and as i say in gnomish Ubbertactular. all in all i rate the experience as UBBER^^^^^ Grpx8.

Continuing the Tinkerfest celebrations there are still other gnomes experimenting and researching in Steamfont. The rest of Norrath still experiences Orcish conflicts and Hunters. So when and where you ask?

Today! 29^th July at 8am (PDT) there is an uprising in the Commonlands. Head on over and see what you can sort out.

Also today 29^th July at 3pm (PDT) we have a Gnome with grand ideas in Steamfont! Maybe you’d like to help this enterprising fellow out and perhaps even test his work.

On Friday 30^th July at 5.30 pm (PDT) yet another Gnome has research on her mind in Steamfont. She sure wants you to do some interesting work, so if more gnomish adventure is your wish – head on over.

On Saturday 31^st July at 5am (PDT) there is a hunter of renown working the Frostfang Sea/New Halas area. Sail over to see what you can do to earn some recognition of your skills.

At 12pm (PDT) on Saturday 31^st that Orcish uprising is showing some form of retaliation. A heavy hand is definitely needed in the Commonlands.

At 11.30am(PDT) on Wednesday that lovelorn Gnome will be seeking someone to help him in The Timorous Deep. I wonder if he will be in Gorowyn? Tomorrow Wednesday 7^th at 8pm(PDT) more research will be conducted near New Halas. I’m still intrigued to know what manner of results they be having over there. Perhaps you will discover something. Also the next day – Thursday the 8^th at 10.30am(PDT) I hear the Orcs in the Commonlands are still restless. Perhaps you could work toward some sort of resolution. On the same day, later at around 12pm (PDT) I'm told, peoples are being invited to get their feet wet in Antonica. First up around 10am (PDT) on Thursday 15th in New Halas I hear there is a tourist arriving and in need of some local directions. While we’re on the subject of tourists – yet another has found his way to Neriak and will be looking for some guidance around 12pm (PDT) on Thursday 15th The Commonlands is still up to its neck in Orcs so perhaps you might like to sort a few things out around 6.30pm (PDT) again on Thursday 15^th. While I’m here – another tidbit of news – on Friday 16^th around 5.15pm, a mighty Kerran hunter is fulfilling a merchants order and is looking for hardy adventurers in the Frostfang Sea area. If you are really quick, you might be able to head out to Antonica today the 22nd, around 7.30am (PDT) It’s time those gnolls were dealt a severe blow. Around 8am(PDT) today the 22^nd, the Coldain researcher is going to be looking for help with some research around Halas. I hear there is a young gnome in Qeynos Harbor who needs some help with supplies. Perhaps you could head there around 12pm (PDT) today, Thursday 22nd Finally on Friday 23rd around 5.15pm (PDT) that Kerran Hunter is seeking like-minded adventurers to help him in the Enchanted Lands. If you missed seeing them recently then keep an eye out around 11am(PDT) on Wednesday 28^th in Steamfont again. I well imagine others will appear at other odd times as well- you know how unpredictable all those things to do with gnomes can be! Now not all Gnomes are celebrating – there is one poor lovesick fellow hanging out in the Darklight Woods – you might find him around 5am (PDT) on Monday 26^th. Anyways I can’t keep up with all their activites so can only offer another bit of news for now even though they be out and about quite a bit. Tomorrow Tuesday 27^th around 10.30 am (PDT) head out to the Greater Faydark- probably in Kelethin itself there is news of a gnomish invention that has gone haywire. I think it be time for some peoples to go and see what can be done before it does something nasty to the habitat. And don’t forget what I tolds you the other day – a gnome with a Tome no less – don’t know what she is doing with it but check her out around 11am(PDT) on Wednesday 28^th in Steamfont. As has been explained before, when a quest is run, it isn't usually run as "Guide Soandso", but as a character created to run that quest. After all, since this one was to help out a gnomish contraption, running it as someone who is named Guide Darkelf or Guide Ratonga wouldn't be very sensible. Similarly, being on as a character named Bob the Farmer asking for help rounding up their pigs and saying "Hey this is Guide Soandso" would be silly. I am sorry it was run in the wrong place by the person who did it. As for the reward, it isn't intended to be a major piece of equipment. It is intended to be a small reward for someone who spent a few minutes helping out a clockwork with advice and maybe a cog or sprocket or two. __________________

The Guide title is only used when on as their actual Guide persona. In any other form, they are not Guide Bob, but John the Farmer or whatever role is required by that quest.Say for example I am participating in a quest as a lost pig. I am not there to be Guide Porky, but to be a lost pig and perform certain specific activities as that pig. And if some one sees a name with Guide in it they might expect a different service from me than I could do at that time.Say if someone got hopelessly stuck in a zone or bit of landscape. As a quest actor I cannot do anything about that. But as Guide Me, I can. So the abilities and allowances we have change depending on our current role. If they see Guide they can expect to be able to get some limited help possibly, or maybe some assistance with a question, or just chatting and maybe getting some milk and cookies. If they see a lost pig, then it's a lost pig. But, we are always glad to get feedback. And concerns, complaints, kudos, or general suggestions are always welcome to be sent to [email protected] so that the folks upstairs and at SOE sees them. __________________

The rest of Norrath still experiences Orcish conflicts and Hunters. So when and where you ask? Today! 29^th July at 8am (PDT) there is an uprising in the Commonlands. Head on over and see what you can sort out. Also today 29^th July at 3pm (PDT) we have a Gnome with grand ideas in Steamfont! Maybe you’d like to help this enterprising fellow out and perhaps even test his work. On Friday 30^th July at 5.30 pm (PDT) yet another Gnome has research on her mind in Steamfont. She sure wants you to do some interesting work, so if more gnomish adventure is your wish – head on over. On Saturday 31^st July at 5am (PDT) there is a hunter of renown working the Frostfang Sea/New Halas area. Sail over to see what you can do to earn some recognition of your skills. At 12pm (PDT) on Saturday 31^st that Orcish uprising is showing some form of retaliation. A heavy hand is definitely needed in the Commonlands.
