pvp...guess I dont understand...

Played all the on line games for yrs...from anarchy, everquest 1, wow,

and the list goes on...All the pvp games, wow being the best, was fair..

You pitted your skill against the other...And the most skilled won..

with EQ2...not so...I dont mind getting beat by a player 2-3 lvs lower..He

just out played me...Im not that good...But I dont mind getting beat..Its

still fun...But, it does bother me that a lv 30 sk attacked me, Am a lv 36

SK, with decent gear and above ave aa's..45 I beleive, And I didnt make

a dent in his hp's...Didnt last long, when I died, 10 seconds later, he was

still full health...His name was ezpk...I,m sure he was decked out in full

pk gear...Is this gear hard to get?...If I did get it, it would be used for

defence only...Is it hard to get?...thanks

You should 1st reevaluate what your idea of good gear and AA is.

Then once you understand you were 100% out geared, out AA'd out AA spec'd and even out skilled also.

Then its clear why you got owned, other than the fact it was an sk, but so are you.

1. Do you have, at bare minimum, a piece of mastercraft gear, or PvP gear in every slot? Or at LEAST 3 slots of jewelry for the 200 point ward? This takes like an hour of pvping to get, max. xD If you dont at least mastercraft, you really can't complain about losing to someone in pvp. It takes me about 3-6 seconds to kill a crappy geared player of around 6 levels higher than me (At level 35, which is similar to your situation)

Eq2 is a gear based game, simple as that. I can out play my opponent all day long, but if he's vastly out gearing me, I wont dent his health.

2. Are your spells at least experts?

3. 45 isn't above average aa's, no offense or anything. Most twinks you'll fight, and it seems pretty obvious he was one, will have aa's of at LEAST twice their level in AA's - usually more, as they are very easy to attain now with the 100% slider.

4. Do you have the reaver aa line? Easily the best SK aa line, and you need to respec to it if you don't.

Don't forget to master out your spells. Adept 3's are the starting point, but you need to be farming for those masters.

Master's at low level (at least most classes) are pretty cheap.

Define good geared..

I got a 35 sk, it has 96 aa and all spells are mastered except 5 that are expert. All gear is mastercrafted except the 5-6 items that i got from the pvp merchant. <-- this is close to twink, but not totally.

I'm betting you will encounter lvl 30 characters with all the best gear they can have at that level, fully mastered and 160 aa. That is twink SMILEY

i think the point to this post is.... this games is 90% gear and aa's and 10% skill..... the only time skill becomes a factor is when the 2 people have around the same gear and aa level....

Wich hey. If you have the gear and the aa's ur gona say this is the way its supose to be.... if you dont your gona say other games that were more fun rely on more skill then gear/aa's then the people with the gear and the aa's are gona tell you to go play that game instead.

Class and gear are having way too much of an effect on pvp success over skill imo...

The difference between an equally skilled sk or inquisitor compared to say an equally skilled player with a nerfed class like illy or conji is just overwhelming...

Most of the skill in this game is in setting up your toon. Its about the right gear, the right aa's and knowing when to use what spell/attack.

Saying you have full pvp gear, fully mastered, with x amount of aa's doent make you an instant sucess in pvp.

You have to tweek it to fit your play style. Also remember if you dont do any damage to someone they might be using the ward charm available from the pvp merch.
