![]() I am currently in the Ganak BG and it is stupid. Once again both sides have captured the enemies flag and have it very well defended, so it is basically a stalemate. Can we please get some kind of dot on the flag (like the relic one in Klak) so people can not just hold the darn flag for 20 mins??? PLEASE!!! |

![]() People keep saying that this is a "valid tactic", but I agree with the OP. It'd be different if there was a vote so that everyone on the team could agree that, "yes, somenoe should take their flag and run hide with it." However, in my experiences, it's always been a type of "flag hijacking" by one or two folks. |

![]() This battleground was plain stupid. We had the blue flag near our spawn point, they had ours near theirs and all the idiots playing the game simply ran to the middle and died. We ended up loosing by about 50 points on a time out. How stupid is that? |

![]() just make the flags reset after being carried for 5 min (or some other random number) only had it happen once but someone was able to pull the other guy down eventually and kill him. |

![]() Sounds like a good idea to me. I wouldn't put the DoT on it, as that would make it impossible for all but the most hardy classes to carry the thing, but a timeout is a good solution to pervent a prema-stalemate. |

![]() Here's how you solve this problem (and a host of others that come with it): Step 1: Make it so you can score, even if the other team has your flag. Step 2: Increase score limit to 600 or 800. The End. |

![]() I like the idea of a 5 minute timer once both flags are away from base that will return both flags if no one caps., And horknut's plan is great too, increasing to 800 and dont require your flag to be home. I mean, there is some bit in me that says, if they have the flag fortified, it is your job to break that fortification and grab it. But until SKs and Zerkers are killable again I dont see that as the best option Currently, the tactic most used to get the flag is 1 or 2 ppl jumping in, grabbing it and running out. I am a bruiser, I can attest to how easy it is, and i get at LEAST 1 cap a game. Perhaps once u grab the flag, your runspeed is reduced to 0, so that you have to bring friends to guard you on ur way out. Making it more of a smash and grab than a hijacking. This would make it much harder for both sides to get away with the flag and much less likely to both be hording them. Plus whe you do go to attack and take it back, they cant just run away. As a bruiser and a flag hawk, I hate this idea, as it cripples me, but it would certainly even the playing field. Also... someone go vote this OP AFK.... jk

![]() There have only been a couple of matches that I've hated. It involved teams that positively outclassed us in every way. We could not capture theirs. But they captured ours and refused to turn it in. So basically it was just taunting for the cruelty. I don't mind when both sides have the flag. Usually one side ends up making a mistake and the stalemate breaks. |

So, does the 5 minute timer only start to tick once BOTH flags are taken? Because I don't think individual timers would work, as the team that gets the flag second would have an advantage. |

![]() Once both flags are no longer at their home base it starts, so Blue takes the flag (no timer) Then red also takes the flag (timer starts) Blue guy dies and flag goes back (Timer goes away), Blue gets flag again (timer starts from the top) Red guy dies and drops the flag (timer continues until flag is returned, if another red guy grabs the flag real quick the timer continues where it was [to avoid ppl just FDing to reset the timer]) If the timer ticks to 0, both flags are returned to the home base. So basically the timer would only run while both flags are gone. IDK about 5 minutes, but the time is certainly negotiable.

^^^ This The timer idea might be workable. But only if both flags were returned at the exact same instant. |

![]() Ive even seen people in the Gears of klakanon taking the relic up to their spawn point ,seems a similar thing to this the OP posted , i wasnt a fan of pvp but i do enjoy the bg's now ive tried them but really these constant to me cheats that people use do spoil the enjoyment. If more just made the effort into just playing the game and not trying to f people over by using speed hacks and jumpy boots to hide flags relics etc it would be more fun so really lets just go out and use skill to get the job done and not some cheapo jacking tactics. |

![]() The problem in both Ganak and Gears seems to be the fact that they tried to make the spawn points someplace that the other team could not reach easily. Why not just make it so that when you die you respawn 100 ft. up in the air (or on the ceiling in gears) in some random place in the instance. The spawn would come with exactly enough time worth of "glide" to reach the ground. Then geometry could be a lot easier to design. Or...maybe not..honestly, I don't have much of a passion for any of it anymore. There is a steady refrain of the same things being critcized and the same suggestions being made, and nothing is happening. And, I'm not even talking about the issue related to this thread ...I'm talking about basic things like resists, buggy respawn timers, epic matchmaker fails, etc. |
