I'm not quite up to level 90 yet but I have run through the majority of quests and have to ask.... is there any new art being applied to the items found at level 90?

I only ask because all of the quests between 81-87 thus far have produced the exact same armor model including color as all the other quests in that range.  Additionally, all of the weapon items look identical to the item models that have been in the game since it came out.  Though none of the quest items have actually been upgrades for either of my toons I had hoped that I might, at least, be able to use some of them for their appearances.  No luck there.

I'm not the only one that has been disappointed in my play group at the lack of something 'new' to look at for the items and I'm hoping that it doesn't maintain this level through the instance gear, etc.

i haven't seen any of the raid stuff but the there's nothing really new on the merchants where you turn in tokens. All the WIS 1-handed hammers have the same look of the warperd hammer that has been in the game for awhile. i was really disappointed when i looked the weapons on the Moonlight village merchant they had some cool looking weaopns there but the WIS hammer was nothing special at all. Same warped hammer found on all the other merchants. Not even worth buying as appearanec gear.

Every expansion i get my hopes up they they are going to have a bunch of new appearances for all types of armors and i'm not just talking about textures. I'm talking new meshes. But like always it's just more of the same.

I agree Clazz and what happened to the promise of us getting more new items introduced this expansion than any previous? I guess that the term New has to be taken lightly since a lot of the items I have seen are just rehashed versions of older items.

So far I haven't seen much different, except that they've been using the new robe model a lot.  I'm gonna reserve forming an opinion however, at least until I get to level 90 and start doing instances/raids.  Most gear gets saved soley for end-game, and it's pretty likely that most of that stuff is going to be the "new graphics" content.

Well even the Mark items aren't a unique graphic, they share the look with other armor as well, so hopefully, the stuff that drops in dungeons, or something has the new look, I saw some awesome armor in the previews that I wanted to use as appearance armor, but sadly, I havent found it yet

Thus far nobody has been able to dispute that new item designs are horribly lacking in the new expansion (though I guess the new tinkered mount is 'kinda' new) while SOE continues to push out Station Marketplace items that ARE sold primarily for their unique appearances.  Micro-transactions FTW.

Oh... I also find it somewhat misleading to market the expac with 'over 2000 new items'... that may be true from a purely stat-based standpoint but most people would consider the 'look' of an item to at least factor in a little to what makes it new.

I totally agree it was a bit disappointing. I was able to piece together an armor set I liked for my dirge, I got the leggings from the Hua Mein in Stonebrunt and the chest piece at a quest from the Pavilion but the other pieces were hard to find and even then its nothing spectacular because its just a recolor of an armor style in game. I miss the way it was in Kylong where by following the quests you ended up with a complete armor set without having to search high and low for matching pieces.

Of course the set I like is the harder to piece together, I was able to find two different sets, so I guess it's my own fault there.

I was very happy to get katanas though from the pandas but all in all I haven't found much to get excited about. I kinda expected as much even when they were saying they had all these nice new shiny things for us.

Exactly my point that I was trying to make earlier. I do not consider a piece of equipment that has the exact same look as one we already had but with a couple more attribute points added to it and resists removed to be "NEW". Even many of the Mastercrafted weapons have the exact same graphic as what we have had.

Very disappointing
