Is there really a need for this anymore?  Can we just ditch it and make all xp equal to what you'd get if you had vitality?  With all the leveling "improvements" that have been made to the game, vitality just seems archaic.  Or maybe I'm the only person who creates an alt to actually play them, and doesn't do things like RAF or something silly like that.  Anyway, just a thought.

Experience vitality is archaic and the very purpose it was created for doesn't really exist anymore.

In honesty, I don't see any reason not to just remove it.  If anything today it serves as an incentive to play less.

That was exactly my thought!

Perhaps for you, but after level 30 I have never seen it below 50%.  It doesn't matter what I do I can't run it out.

Group with me for 30 minutes, it will be gone.

But that wasn't my point. It was created to allow people who play less to keep up in progress with people who play alot more.  Fact is now, the leveling path is so freakishly fast, no one really needs a bonus.

It is an incentive to play less, especially on crafting.  I will grind out a few levels but when my vitality is gone I hang it up for a week waiting for vitality to return.  I refuse to grind for crafting levels with no vitality.

I have no self control. I like it because it tells me when to stop crafting.

Besides, what would I use my 6-year veterans reward for then?

I realize this would make the 5th/6th year rewards useless.  But it's not like they couldn't re-purpose them to something else.  Maybe a once a week debt forgiveness or once a week free mender.  Not like something similar doesn't already exist.

Given how both xp debt and repair costs are a joke already, I don't see why they couldn't just be taken out completly if vitality is taken out.

Your whole premise is based on someone that has adventure / combat experience turned on all the time and grinds alot.

It seems some people want it turned on all the time, and others think it should be removed entirely.  Lets find the happy medium and leave it as it is now shall we?

While I agree xp debt is noise, repair costs are not a laughing matter.  I can easily drop 5plat in repair costs learning a new mob.

My vote is against removing the vitality bonus. I like knowing that my character is essentially building up bonus XP without me having to be logged in constantly. In general I like the mechanics that close the gap between what the hardcore players earn compared to the casuals like myself (to an extent of course).

p.s.

Please don't mess with my Orb of Concentrated Memories.
