![]() I am wondering if it is a bad idea to make a character that is compleely tradeskill oriented (ie. no working on leveling adventuring). I just don't want to get to lvl 60 in tradeskill and then find out that I need to be adv lvl 60 to get the good recipes. Or that you can be lvl 1, but to finish that lvl 70 tradeskill quest you are going to haveto run through an area of lvl 70 heroics or something. Thanks! |

![]() In the last two weeks I have met a person with a level 80 bruiser, and her other characters go down to 12...but they are all 80 Master Crafters, one of each. She likes crafting, lol. Once you hit 50 tradeskill things start to open up with tradeskill quests. at 65 or 68 there is a crafting quest to get your Sokokar and posts in Kylong, then one in the Fens and Jarsath. I think it's eq2traders.com that has a full list of crafting quests and such. Also, all the good recipe's (mara, the Fens, and Jarsath) are either heirloom, or will be. (so I've heard) The only difficulty would be if you wanted the harvesters cloak, I completed it at close to 50 combat level (very tough) but anything else is gravy. Not everyone knows that at 50 tradeskill, (also, your harvesting needs to be 240 I believe) (doable but not easy) you can level your tradeskill up to 80 without using any purchaced fuel or components by doing the "Isle of Mara" quests (repeatable). |

![]() I have level 15ish characters that are level 80 tradeskillers. It helps to have a higher level character that does your harvesting ... but it's not impossible to do it all with a low level adventurer (but, expect to die a lot). You can even do higher level tradeskill quests, and I actually thought they were more fun on low level adventurers than on higher ones (way more intense because so many mobs are red, agro, and your death is absolutely immediate). Success is based on your ability to be careful. |

There are recipes which are only obtainable by adventurers, but nearly all of them are trade-able so you can obtain them from an adventurer. For the tradeskill quests other than writs, there are areas you will have to cross which have mobs applicable to the area you are in (i.e. level 40+ mobs in Everfrost where you have things to deliver on one such quest). However, it is possible to avoid all such mobs and entanglements if you are paying attention to your surroundings and don't just blunder through on auto-run. You might even have to pause from time to time, tucked into a corner, waiting for a pather to cross your path. Getting resources on your own is likewise risky but entirely doable if you are patient and cautious and don't get too upset with dying from time to time. But you can also buy resources from other players. |

like people have said here most of the "adventuring" recipies are tradable with the exception of some of the faction related recipies which are herloom. So while you can hit 80 tradeskill on a lowbie it will be best if you have some sort of adventurer aswell. Some of the crafting quests will be crazy frustrating but I have heard of people people less than level 10 adventure being 80 crafters

![]() My conjuror started out to be tradeskill only and became my provisioner. I swap collectibles around between my toons, and she slowly levelled just because of collections, but I had her to 80 as a crafter long before she was level 30. Eventually, alt-itis took over and I decided to play with her and found that she was fun for me to play, so now she's 80/80/200!

![]() Find a guild with decent crafting facilities including a harvesting box (that they don't mind you using) and you'd be all set. The only disadvantage I can think of, is that some people have got to 80 with crafting, then tried adventuring and realised they made a bad choice in adventure class. There are rumors of allowing people to reset their adventure class in the future, but at present they are still rumors. |

![]() My alky is lvl 11 and master 80, I was 80 at lvl 9 and only levelled to 11 due to POI update when travelling to kunark to get crafting faction with one of the outposts. I didn't find it at all difficult and I play on a pvp server. |
