I'm trying to install EQ2 on a Vista 32-bit OS laptop. Each time I try to run the launcher, I get the error mentioned above (Error  'Window:"EverQuest II LaunchPad" Images could not be loaded.'.

I have already set the program to run as administrator and to run in compatibility with Windows XP.

Everytime I load the EQ2 Launcher, I get this error.

Any tips?

Edit: I've already spent hours searching through the forums for the solution to this problem and found a link to a thread only to see that it was 404-notfound.

Which launcher might you be using? Is it the Station Launcher or the EQ2-Base launcher?

I'm using the base launcher.

I can't get the station launcher to work properly either. It always says it's missing a .dll file and won't open.

But this isn't about the station launcher, it's about the base.

You've mentioned already going through our forums in regards to this issue so you may have already tried this, but can you also try the UAC workaround? I'm inclined to believe it's related as both launchers seem to have trouble running on your system.

1. Make sure you are logged in on an Administrator account.2. Navigate to the Station Launcher folder (Usually c:program filessonystation will contain the Station Launcher folder)3. Right click on the Station Launcher folder and go to properties4. Click on the Security Tab5. Click on the Edit button.6. Go through each username or group listed and make sure all "Allow" boxes are checked7. Ensure that no "Deny" boxes are checked and click OK.

You can also try an all out disabling of the UAC, but I'd recommend placing it back on if it works or not as I wouldn't suggest keeping it off for an extended period.

That seems to have worked, it's just downloading the launcher updates at an annoyingly slow rate. I'll message here if anything changes.

Thank ye!
