![]() So, recently returned to EQ2 and was wondering what has changed in the ways of belonging to guild that wasn't the same faction as you are. Can you enter the guild hall from your city, or do you have to sneak into the other city (if you can enter it at all)? Can you do city writs to give the guild status? Or is the only option for opposing alignments to be in the same guild is to be in an exiled one? |

Since you are on Everfrost, a non pvp server, there is no problem in any way belonging to a guild that has a hall in an "opposing" city. Buy the magic door off the city merchant, set it up in your house, voila another way to get to the guild hall. Besides that, the guild hall call which is up every 15 minutes is essential. Your guild will be able to fill you in on where to find the amenity that you click to get that. First time of course you will have to actually go to the guild hall by way of the city it's in. But that shouldn't be too hard. And T3 guild halls are on the Commonlands and Antonica docks. City writs give the guild status regardless of your alignment, or the writ-giver's alignment. If you are rolling a toon on PvP server you will have to be aligned with your prospective guild (but any class can change their alignment on PvP servers, thus Qeynos assassins, Freeport templars, etc.)

If your not in a guild with a t3 guildhall, you may actually have some problems getting to your hall depending on your level. For example: The t1 guild hall in Qeynos is in North Qeynos and the roads are heavily patrolled by level 80 heroic and epic guards. You better be good and quick to get to the door of your hall and then enter before a patrol wanders by. The t2 hall is in South Qeynos and the area is fairly well patrolled by level 50 heroic and epic guards. Again, you'll have to be careful when trying to reach either hall and pay attention to the guards patrol route and duration. I'm fairly sure that Freeport is similar but I am not sure about the specifics.

![]() The key is to use the sewers to sneak into the district where the guildhall is, and be sure you are familiar with the zone layout and where the server is. But you can also use a magic door to the guildhall I think - and you can usually visit someone else's house to use one, if you haven't got your own. They don't have to be in your guild, either.

![]() Another trick for lower levels needing to visit T1 & T2 guildhalls from opposing alignments would be to have a guildy conjuror use CoTH to pull you to the door. Then once inside click the bind to guildhall statue & buy a magic door as soon as you can.

![]() If your guild is accepting players of opposing alignment and then not providing them with doors in opposing cities AND / OR escorting you to their Hall the first time, then honestly you should find a better organized guild. There are heritage quests that involve going into the opposing faction cities and moving about to get updates, so this has never been a problem for a skilled player. If your guild has none of these either, well, i don't know what to say.. .hehe.. Walford Guild Officer |

The magic door can be used for the first time trip to a new guildhall.

![]() It's really not all that hard. You just have to be careful, quick, and have a sense of humor about dying. Not long ago I brought a level 22 mystic to our South Freeport guild hall and while she zoned in dead, she did in fact get there. When she revived it was right there inside the door, conveniently close to the mender.

![]() All you need is ACCESS to a magic door, doesn't have to be yours (or in your house even) anyone will do. Best thing to do is use a guildy of the same alignment as you to access their magic door untill you can get the 100k sp together to buy your own. hope this helps |

![]() If you don't know where a guild door is, easiest way to find one is go to the most expensive/status using houses in the city of your choice. The folks who have those houses typically are the more dedicated players, and I've only had about 1-2 times that I didn't find a guild door in those homes *somewhere* first time in. Just right click on the door, pick visit, and find a player that you can visit. |
