It's funny how venekor folk all consider nagafen to be gankers, griefers and zerger's.

Ganking is part of pvp, griefing happens i guess but only if someone has a personal grudge against you - in which case you probably deserved it and zergings? I assume venekor folk have never zerg'd due to the low population. Once someone dies, every calls home..

My personal experiences with the venekor folk that have moved over to Nagafen in recent months is that they are ill prepared (gear and pvp experience) and they are very shocked by the quantity of pvp.

I for one am looking forward to fresh meat...

heh.. I was considering an evening out in the middle of the Commonlands for an evening. Sort of like throwing pies at the teachers during the ice cream social in grade school. I leveled from 1-80 on Naggy w/ nothing to begin with, after playing on venekor for many years. I will tell the vene people now, when they come over, they are in for a rude awaking because of the complete difference in gear paired with lots of the vene people not being used to fighting a high quality player of different classes. Its withstandable but your coming in with a huge disadvantage with way less crit mit, and higher end gear that a good amount of people on naggy.

That's funny, because the people I know who transfered have all told me that Nagafen is absolutely teeming with n00bs. When I transfered over the first time that was my experience as well, and Ive yet to see anything spectacular this time either.

Sure he will. What's the level range in most of the overland zones?

PvP is what it is. Those that farmed their gear or got tokens from "duels" may be in for a surprise. But I doubt the majority will be complaining about it on the forums; the whole "be careful what you wish for" thing. I do think that there may be quite a bit of griping in guild chats, though. Best way to find out is to get out and have some fun.

Lodor may have hit the nail on the head, though.

Merging. Venekor has the smaller population. Something several people posting here have lamented for what ... two years? Venekor is being absorbed; looking at this as a merge of equals is, at best, a denial of reality. Venekor's population is lacking. Bottom of the list when rolling a character. Nagafen is at the other end of the spectrum. So, while this has no bearing as far as quality of player, or level of dedication, or any other thing one would like to bring up, the numbers simply do not lie. If Russia annexed Georgia tomorrow, the new country would be Russia, no matter how much Georgians may wish to think otherwise.

So, as a precursor to the actual event, "Welcome to Nagafen." SMILEY

Stocking up on the mutegenic burst gear so I can kill as many Nagafenites merged into Venekor as possible - after this long dry spell Venekor players are going to be infused with a blood thirsty vengence for your updates which you cannot imagine. Looking forward to mass pvp fights near contested mobs too. I keep slapping myself thinking this is all a dream - pvp again and why the heck did I ever re-roll on Vene to begin with - ohh yhea, to kill RPers.

well lets hope a merg will do some good.dont hold your breath though alot of ppl are annoyed at the changes to the pvp system and are leaving. And maybe with new blood on the server we just might stop the gank fests on LS docks.

P.S i would watch the pvping for contested mob they may petition zone disruption

Only if you exploit game mechanics, e.g. charm the MT as an unattackable grey or useing the guild banner to zone people right into the raid with PvP immunity.

If you attack a raid legit, i.e. they are able to fight you as soon as they see you, all is fine.

The problem with the guild banners could be easily fixed by SoE by making them destroyable...

I'm loving that people assume just because our server pop sucks we all must suck as well. There are in fact good players on Venekor...just like there's tons of bad ones on Naggy. I have no problem killing people on my Naggy lowbie...but shouldn't it be the other way around, since they have more practice (and plat[gear and masters] since I rerolled with nothing there)?

And QFE vlahkmaak about that "boodthirsty vengeance"...your Naggy noobs are a big fat steak dangled in front of a mob of starving Somalians.

This is a pvp server, deal with it. Nothing is wrong with charming the mt or using guild banners for PVP. if they cant handle it they shouldnt have rolled on the server.

LOL, what do you mean with "deal with it"? Was this directed at me? I only was once in the situation that a grey tried to leech fame while we were pulling an avatar but never has one tried to charm the MT (as a grey) or placed a flag into our raid. This isn't (wasn't) a problem for me... might change after the merge with Nagafen though.

SoE makes the rules and they defined the above "strategies" as exploits. So unless they find a workaround or change their opinion on this subject, the "deal with it" goes right back to you.

I have no problem killing people on my Naggy lowbie...but shouldn't it be the other way around, since they have more practice (and plat[gear and masters] since I rerolled with nothing there)? And QFE vlahkmaak about that "boodthirsty vengeance"...your Naggy noobs are a big fat steak dangled in front of a mob of starving Somalians.

LOL, what do you mean with "deal with it"? Was this directed at me? I only was once in the situation that a grey tried to leech fame while we were pulling an avatar but never has one tried to charm the MT (as a grey) or placed a flag into our raid. This isn't (wasn't) a problem for me... might change after the merge with Nagafen though. SoE makes the rules and they defined the above "strategies" as exploits. So unless they find a workaround or change their opinion on this subject, the "deal with it" goes right back to you.
