Log in during a certain perios of time? I log almost every day, I hope that will cover it. Is it a very narrow range? Hope you mean a few weeks or so.

While it is a nice painting, I'd have rather seen a painting of the original EQ box art with Firiona Vie or something similar. Maybe an all new piece of art similar to the image used on the upcoming anniversary book featured here: http://everquest.station.sony.com/eq10th/#book After all, it is in celebration of EverQuest's 10th anniversary, so why not have it be of something that was actually in EQ1? Venekor just seems like an odd choice to me when he wasn't even around until EQ2.

Is that Venekor? As someone who still plays eq1 and has been enjoying the events and activities there.. I'm boggled by the choice too if it is Venekor. FV would have been a great choice.. but its still a nice painting and I'll take it, while /boggling. SMILEY

We have a tribute to firiona vie coming up and personally I think it looks pretty awesome (its not a painting but it'll go in your house/guild hall). But I don't want to spill the beans on what we're saving that for right now.

I believe the original plan had a painting being given away if you logged in during a 10 day period, so I'd expect anything we do in the future to be along those lines as well.

Nope, havent seen anything about it. The last Dev message mentioned a Firona Vie item upcoming which was the statue given to Fan Faire atendees but havent heard anything about the painting SMILEY Still hope its coming though! SMILEY

The post you quoted is almost half a year old. When Kirstie posted it, spring/summer was upcoming. Now we're winding down the summer and we haven't seen it yet. I wish they would put it in, it's a half-decent painting. Also, to my knowledge, Kirstie is no longer on the EQ2 Dev team, at Fan Faire she said she was moving to a different SOE team.

What I would really love as a painting is what someone mentioned back when this thread was made... some of the original EQ1 box art. The original game box art by Kieth Parkinson is downright legendary in my mind, as is much of his other work on EQ1 expansion box art.
