Ok let me start by just explaining my problem. Thursday night 2/12/09 I played , had both my accounts signed in and everything was working perfect. Then Friday 2/13/09 at about around 3:45 central time I go to sign in and NOTHING. When i go load my EQ2 it starts with preparing files then goes straight to scanning files, then connecting and then nothing. It brings up a error that says "server may be busy please try again in a few minutes" or something to that notion. So I go and try to log in Everquest2.exe file and still nothing, says server maybe busy please try again in a few minutes. It is getting very frustrating. I have uninstalled the game and reinstalled it. Cleaned up my computer with everything that is EQ2 related, still nothing, I have uninstalled my printer that I had installed on my computer on Thursday thinking maybe it was that, still NOTHING.  I had my sister to sign in from her computer on my accounts and she went right into the game with both accounts. My firewall is down so it can't be that. I just don't understand what the problem is. I've read many many things on the forums for the past couple of days and have tried everything that is told to do, still NOTHING.  I also restored my computer still nothing. I tried to sign in with my sisters account and it does the same thing has my account nothing. I've even tried to down load the new station launcher and when i go to download it, the website times out. Everything else on my computer works, i can surf any website and it works so could someone please help me, i've played EQ2 for almost 5 years now and I don't want to have to deal with withdrawals! Thanks in advance.

NEVERMIND I'm  tired of fooling with it. I've even crashed out my computer, now i can only log in to one server.  I can't even delete a character made to see if it would go on a different server. I give up this is useless with out any help. I've played for five years with out any trouble and then bam all at once this comes up. I still can't go in the regular way I had to download a different launch pad. I tried going in with my sisters account and still only one server could be connected. SO i give up I think i've tried everything other than throwing the computer out of my back door and not sure that would even help Everquest 2 work.

Okay Update on what's going on now. I went to the forums and found a direct link to the station launcher i got that downloaded and it worked, but I can't sign in to any of the pvp servers, it just kicks me back to the character page. But however I can sign in to any of the regular servers. The only servers I play on is Bazaar and Naggy server. I've been playing mostly on Naggy server lately but still sign in one of my accounts on the bazaar server. Can anyone tell me what the deal is here with this????? Please Thanks in advance, i'm still getting upset with this.

For the first issue, that sounds like an issue that has been occuring with the station launcher over the last week or so.

Here are some steps you can take:

1. Uninstall the Station Launcher from the "Programs and Features" section of the Control Panel

2. Go to C: drive -> Program Files -> Sony -> Station in your computer and delete the "Station Launcher" folder.

3. Go back to our Station Launcher page at http://launcher.station.sony.com/ and reinstall the Station Launcher

4. Re-launch the Station Launcher and log in

For the second issue, that sounds like a port issue with a router.  Disconnect issues with only certain character(s) usually mean that the router is blocking one of the ports used by the game.  I would advise bypassing your router and plugging your computer directly into the modem as a first step.  If you try that and it corrects your issue then you'll need to configure your router if you wish to continue using it.The following site has great information about router configuration:http://www.portforward.com/english/...routerindex.htmSimply select the router you are using then select Everquest on the next page.  You will then be presented with a walkthrough on how to forward the correct ports.  Please respond if you need any further assistance.

Then again, Daniel is the one who suggested that my router was the problem when I had connection issues with voice and in=game typing chat...turned out, after 6 hours of re-installing EQ2 and downloading all the patches (3 hours on a 10 MB Cable connection) and it was all for naught! Turns out they found a problem with their servers about 10 minutes after he told me to do this, so MY advice would be NOT to bother with your router...that's NOT the problem, believe me. Once they get these patches on top of patches and bad patches, the "soup" is spoiled. I think they need to "re-roll" the servers and see just how much junk code is leftover from previous updates. All I know is I have only been playing about 8 months or so, and it has progressively gotten worse and worse...and the "canned responses" given to us by support is just that...reading lines off a screen that tells you what to tell us does NOT fix the problem...get a real clue before you put your CUSTOMERS through this nonsense....

Me Again...

Yeah i just spent sometime with the chat support and it does seam like sony is having issues with stuff on there side it isnt my isp or my pc.  It is them.  The guy i talked to said they are looking into fixing it and it should be fixed soon.  I did all kinds of stuff rebooted my hard drive wiped out everything when all i had to do was be patient.

Greetings,It looks like this is a known issue with the station launcher at the moment.  There is a post tracking the issue in the station launcher support forums, here:http://forums.station.sony.com/stat..._id=11500012878Since it's a problem with the station launcher then you can probably work around it by using the regular launchpad, available here:http://everquest2.station.sony.com/...m?reinstall=yesInstall it to the same directory where you already installed the game and then run the older style launchpad for now.

Ok here is the deal, I don't think you are understanding us here. We CAN'T DOWNLOAD the launcher from the links that you are sending. The websites won't come up! We can't download crap, this is useless! I have reformatted my computer twice since the 13th  I have even went to the point to say I just going to buy a new computer, my computer isn't even a year old yet, not even 9 months old to be exact. I've tried to whole plan of taking connecting my computer straight to the modem box instead of the router and still nothing yet I can't explain it and I'm just tired of fooling with it.

If you can't reach the website at all then we'll probably need to see your connection test results.  Please run a tracert/pathping as requested in the following post:

Ah, you're using cableone.  We just received word this morning that there is a major routing issue between cableone(and a couple other ISPs in Mississippi) and ourselves.  We can not trace out to them and they can't trace back to us.  This is effecting everyone who's receiving a 24.xxx.xxx.xxx ip address.

I'm currently working with another tech to try to find a possible cause.  So far we have noticed that everyone experiencing this issue is getting a 192.168.0.33 ip on the second hop.  It almost sounds like the ISP is using a router in their offices and it is getting messed up.  The last octet on that IP should not be the same for everyone, and should assign numbers in a sequence.  So, if you're getting the 192.168.0.33 ip, then the next person should get a 192.168.0.34 ip.

I'll let you know if I receive any additional information.  At the moment we are still trying to diagnose the issue.  It has been somewhat difficult, though, since the ISP hasn't been very helpful and all the equipment is under their control.

You certainly could call the ISP, but I don't think it will accomplish much.  At the moment we're still trying to determine where this issue is originating from.  I'll try to post more information as we uncover it.
